“Dead ppl WP plz!” the cry goes out “I won’t res you if you’re dead”. How many times have we seen that at group events?

I for one am in the “Waypoint if dead” (defeated) supporters club and don’t expect people to res me under those circumstances. I think it would be helpful if the game made a greater differentiation between downed and defeated players. I suggest the following.

  • When you are next to a downed player a standard revive (F) prompt appears
  • When you are next to a defeated player a RESURRECT prompt appears instead (quite possibly bound to a different key)
  • This allows you (if you wish) to quickly pick up downed players without getting bogged down with the slow process of “ressing” defeated players.

(Alternatively you could use “Rally” and “Revive”, I know Resurrect is not used as players are never considered dead in lore. Skills that currently refer to “revive” would need to be changed to “Rally” but they don’t work on defeated players anyway on the whole)

Pretty much what players have talked about, but not gonna be looked into for some time…

I don’t understand why remove downed state?
Any thing that would affect those majority players who would remain dead and not WP at all.

I’m a casual PvE adventurer, I enjoy combat, adventure and helping, but not farming.
I rarely do PvP or Hard PvE, unless it’s organized.
