Guild Wars 2

So I am super psyched by the new ‘in construction’ version of LA, and I’m really looking forward to the new city. One of my main problems with the old Lion’s Arch was that it lacked flavour, so I’m making this thread for people to suggest possible new locations in LA and just generally what you’d like to see there! Who knows? Maybe a dev will see an idea and take it up!

For example, I’d like to see:

• Embassies for each of the playable races, and even perhaps representatives from the lesser races and maybe the Tengu
• Areas with houses where people actually live (NPC’s, not us)
• An impressive closed gate on the edge of the map supposedly leading to the giant arena described in the Destiny’s Edge book – the arena itself would probably
  be too big to fit into the LA map (I just want recognition of it’s existence!)

(I don’t think there are any other threads like this, but if there are feel free to ignore this one! XD )

Well the embassy idea seems to have some potential.

The Black Citadel has the Bane. A big arena doesn’t seem unworkable. Edge of Destiny made it seem like the arena was fairly small anyway.

Well the Consortium near the lighthouse hint that a bridge or gate will be built where LA connects to the ocean

personally I’d like to see a massive structure there that players can walk accross as well
like a massive floodgate
and it will act like a blockade against attacks from the sea but can also open to allow ships in and out of the city
it would be awesome to see ships coming and going from the city as well and also whales and dolphins jumping out of the water out at sea
players can then chill out on the gate and watch wild life playing and ships coming and going

I’d like to see the new LA compliment the original style of LA in Gw1 as well
it was a very beautiful city compared to the shipwreck style of LA in GW2 which to be honest was quite and eyesore when the rest of Kryta is such a beautiful place.. with exception to the Centaur lands since they destroyed it all.. dumb pony people
