Problem with world bosses is they don’t entice u to do them because of the rewards. Greens/blues nobody wants to sacrifice their time + stress for items that u can get by killing random mobs. Yellows are good just for ectos and they are abundant and easy to get. Exotics are OK but most are junk at this time let’s not kid ourselves. What ppl are after are the “ascended gear”. Problem is the % of failure + the % of NOT getting anything worthy even if winning + the time waiting for the event to start, combined reduce the numbers of players wanting to do this event drastically. People who are still there, do it till they get ascended gear X and chances of him coming back are reduced to an almost 0 in most cases…which results in less and less players for world bosses till nobody gives a f.
World bosses, for their difficulty as detailed above should have a pretty kitten high chance of rewarding players very well. This way players know for a fact if they attend that event they WILL get that item they want. This also keeps the event ALIVE. Let’s not forget 9/10 players have more then 1 character to equip…. SO:
- Each world boss (the revamped ones) have a 50/50 chance to give u a token at the end if u participate from the start to finish and successfully defeat it. (no more no less %. If u make it less people will again not care..if u make it more..ppl will get tokens to easy)
- After u gather X tokens (i recommend 5) u can double click then to create a “Major Token of the Whatever”
- With that major token u go to an NPC and buy an “ascended” item related to that boss.
Bottom line is u need some kind of GUARANTEE u get that item for your hard work and dedication. Right now there is no guarantee or there is no feeling like “ok if i do this i will get that item i really want”. Right now the feeling is “Ok i wonder how many greens/yellows i get this time”. That is not a healthy feeling for an event i bet u want to keep alive and interesting for people at any point in time.
