Do you think that Daze currently is alright, or would you change/add something to it?
I’m just gonna go ahead and say this, though I really shouldn’t…being dazed in GW1 meant that your attacks were easily interrupted and spells you cast took twice as long to cast.
yeah, i compared it to GW1. whatever.

Anyway, most of the Control effects interrupt your target, which is great and all, but their functions are too repetitive.
Knockback-interupts and knocks back your target
Knockdown-knocks down your target and they can’t move or use skills
Launch/blowout-interrupts your target and launches them in the air
Daze-interrupts your target. They can move but can’t use skills.
Stun-stuns your target. they can’t move and can’t use skills
(im skipping sink and float for now)

the reason why I chose daze is because when dazed, you can still move around of course, but what if it was changed so that their skills and attack speed were slowed by X% for a few seconds?

Or is that a dumb idea?

Then it would become “Chilled”.

Dazed in GW1 only made spells easily interrupted not all attacks.

Your suggestion would make Daze weaker than it is now since currently you can’t use any skill. Slower is still faster than “can’t use any skill at all”.

Stun and knockdown are functionally equivalent in GW2.

Knockback/blowout are mainly useful for specific foes such as Sotzz, Komali and the molten protectors. Somewhat useful against a few other foes as well so you can fight them without standing in AoEs.

Adding in something that can increase/decrease skill activation speed would be interesting. GW1 had both. Their absence is occasionally noticed.
