I would wake up for 20 minutes of work and go back to sleep for the rest of the day. Then repeat this until something new to do was available, but that would happen only for 1 or 2 days every two weeks (or longer in this year’s case).

I would want to be a Sylvari guardian, or elementalist… still working on the class. But what I would set my mind to would be building an airship. I’d explore all of tyria mainly trading between Skritt to get the materials I’d need, and then work on building it somewhere in lions arch, or some hideout in Kryta. I’d use my fire magic to power the steam engine, sticking to Charr level technology. Once I’d have my airship, I’d explore Tyria like some kind of novel, making friends and enemies and always traveling to the next adventure. Plus, living life in the air would make all the dragon minions and 10 foot tall spiders a non issue. I’d love to see the centaurs try and shoot down a flying steel machine.

(Or I might join the crew of, or help build, an airship if I found someone else in Lions Arch that was trying the same thing.)

Why wouldn’t I play an engineer? Well assuming we’re going by Log Horrizon rules or something of that nature, I wouldn’t need any of the engineer’s spells or tools. Plus, the basis of my idea is behind powering my vessel with fire magic.

Also, I’d have no interest in settling down. It would be boring, and I don’t like large groups of people, I’d assume the major cities would be packed with scared adventurers and npc’s alike.

This is a really good question.

I’d have to brush up on my New Krytan, I’m a little rusty. Thankfully I’d be able to understand them with the ability to change their spoken language.

I’d most likely be a human necromancer, then find out after a few years that I would have preferred being a heavy frontliner like I find out in every game -.-

My goal in life would be to deface every single shrine and statue dedicated to Kormir, as well as teach people the truth about her. That kitten stole my godhood.

Charr Guardian, most likely. Though, I’d probably be found in the Factorium making weapons and armor, even though cooking and jewelcrafting are more akin to my personality. So maybe I’d learn those instead.

Hrm, but I’d have to figure out what my Charr name would be.

(Still, if I had to live the stuck-in-a-game scenario, it’d be FFXIV. >_>)

Many alts; handle it!

With all my alts, I’d have multiple personality disorder of Epic Proportions!!!

I…uh…. think I’m with Wolfe here….

I don’t think I could pick just one of my characters, and if I were forced to I really haven’t a clue which one it’d be. They’re all facets of my personality, at least to some extent. I’ve been pondering this thread all weekend and I still don’t have an answer.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

I’d either be my elementalist and have all her problems (physical, psychological, and social), dreams, aspirations and her tragic past; it would not be fun… being a 43 year old widow with the looks of a 26 year old.

Or I could be her 22 year old daughter with a deathly fear of undead/risen of the “wet your panties level” most days.

I got pretty messed up female GW 2 characters, so on second though, I don’t think I’d want to be any of them.

Though I wouldn’t mind being a female.

I’d want to be either my asuran engi, or human thief. Something with some stealth so I can sneak around a bit in dangerous areas, but enough firepower to obliterate anything in front of me.

I’d spend my days farming and cooking like I already do, exploring the deepest, darkest places in search of the best ingredients.

Then I’d make a mint selling it all, which would then be spent on books. I’d make it a point to read everything I can get my little hands on once I learned the languages.

i would find world creator and tell him/her he/she did poor job making it. creamed by complaints how there is not enough space, and that i can’t access some areas…

answer2
charr female guardian. i would have at least 5 lovers around tyria and if i find other kittenes touching my men, i would obviously guard my lovers and beat the passion out of those girls. they would go home crying, hah…

OH YEAH. I WOULD BEAT EVERYBODY UP. TOTALLY.

I’d choose Human because I don’t want to smell like a wet zoo when it rains, so Charr is out. I don’t want to look like santa’s elf just took a shovel to the face, so Asura is out, and I don’t want to be a weed.

Necromancer (pure summoner with all traps staff, and axe/dagger) with all life-steal.
That seems to work wonders with my current necro, every time one of my little dead buddies hits I get health, so I really just stay back and AOE the place while they do the hard stuff.

I get the exp from their kills, and the loot. Also, if you really kitten me off I’ll just turn into Death and shoo you away.

I would definitely want to be a Mesmer. I really love my asuran Mesmer, but I would want to be a Human to be able to travel to Cantha without much trouble. See the Jade Sea and Echovald Forest (if they still exist) with my own eyes… And then I would travel to the continent of Utopia

Mesmers get to fight with swords too! (And having done some such training myself, there’s certainly quite a few mind-games involved in swordplay, so it fits…)

Chose Mesmer.
Lore wise Mesmers are scary. Every conversation with one is a mind game. Before you know it they have wormed their way into your mind and can do as they please with you.
Need a body guard? I’ll just suggest that you should protect me, after all wouldn’t it be great to show everyone your latest modification to your turrets and rifle?
A few copper short for an inn room? Its on the house.
Find yourself engaged in casual conversation and begin to have a panic attack? HIT THE DECKS, MASS INVISIBILITY I AM OUTTA HERE GOODBYE NERDS.

Mass invisibility? Nah, Decoy is where it’s at – leave’em talking to your clone and they won’t even realise anything has changed until you make your escape.

Human mesmer here – I tend to think like a mesmer regardless of whether I’m actually playing one, so why fight my inner nature?

They’d be fooled until the clone shattered and they started bleeding.

Organise a Skritt Zerg of 10,000 Skritt ( hive mind ), which would find shiny, yes, yes off most of the players here!! Shiny legendary, yes? Give us shiny!!

+1. I thought spiders in rl are nasty little buggers, spiders in Tyria, OMG GET IT OFF! It’s trying to eat me!

And just think of the misquitos!!!! O.O as if living in a wetland wasn’t bad enough, but if they were GW2 size. I think I would want to live in the silverwastes/drytop, dry and airy, no gaint kitten bugs. Or be an asuran locked in her lab and trying to make a golem to kill any bug on sight. New goal!

Some sources state that Sylvari and Dwarves (from GW1) might be immortal. That would be cool, although otherwise the idea of being a pod person doesn’t appeal to me that much. I would much prefer Dwarf to Sylvari, but as it is not a playable race in GW2, then it’s off the table. Oops, just looked up what Dwarf women look like. It’s not pretty. I think I will go with Sylvari instead and endure being a pod person. Also, that dream stuff the Sylvari does is kind of like The Matrix.

Here’s the problem with being Charr. Who is going to want to date you? Even other Charr are going to pass on dating Charr. Would you kiss a Charr on the mouth? Or anywhere else for that matter?

Norn men, being so very tall and massively built might have more luck dating, but Norn women might have limited dating options also. I’m not saying NOBODY would date a Norn woman, just that her options would be more limited than a human woman of exactly the same appearance. Height discrimination is real folks.

Regarding classes, the stealth abilities of thieves and to a certain extent mesmers seem pretty cool. However, much of what a thief does could be done by regular, normal humans, whereas magical stuff on the other hand might be much cooler to have. Shadow stepping is also very cool.

Even though I don’t enjoy playing a mesmer in GW2, I might like being one in real life, especially with portals. Also, it’s way easier to get allowed into airports, schools, etc. carrying a scepter, wand, or focus, than it is with a bow, daggers, swords, etc., so being a caster has that advantage.

Also, if GW2 became real, I think mini’s would get abused and laws would have to be passed to protect them from pervs. I mean seriously. Some of those minis are PEOPLE for crying out loud!

What would really be cool is that loud, obnoxious people in movie theaters and other places would get to annoy you a few times and then they’d be suppressed. Muahahahahahaha!!!

P.S. (Editted) Also you could block people! So worth it!

Well goodness, with my terrible fighting capabilities I certainly wouldn’t last long out in the world.
The Charr area is out just because it’s rather ugly and I’d hate to continually fight the branded.
The Norn area is out because it’s just too cold.
The Asura area is out because I don’t want to become a science experiment of the inquest
And although the Sylvari area is pretty they don’t interest me much.
So I guess I’d have to stick with the human race because I like Divinity’s reach and Queensdale the best as far as aesthetics go.
I’d be a Ranger as I’d prefer to roam with a pet.
I’d probably just help the widow Farmer Eda deal with the spiders and keep her apple orchard safe. I’ve heard she makes the best apple pies :-)
