Wouldn’t it make sense to have the game keep track as I complete them?
Case in point.

Invasion Canceler requires you to Stop Scarlet’s portal invasions on 13 different maps.

So each instance takes about 45 minutes to do; then you have to evaluate, salvage, sell, organize, deposit etc. in the next 15 minutes and you start the process all over again. So it is gonna take you about 1 hr for each of the areas you have to clear.

Let’s say you do 2 a night, as this is time constrained content. That means it is gonna take you 7 days till it is complete, 14 days if you only have time for one a night (remember this release is only 2 weeks long). As you get to number 12/13, what is the chance you don’t remember which one you would be missing?

Now that is only 13 items to remember, what if you take it to a more involved extreme.

Dive Master requires you to find and use 38 diving locations.

Over the past year I have done maybe 20 of them. I can tell you right now, I have NO CLUE of what most of them were.

What I am proposing is once I complete my crazy-wild flip and twist from some majestic dizzying height; have it noted under the achievement, so that when I get to 99% completion I am not pulling my hair out trying to remember did I put on those goggles waaaaay up there? Climb…Jump…Splash…Nope wrong one…next.

Oh yes, you are quite right to say “Heck Yalora, why don’t you just write it down on a piece of paper?”
And while I am at it, lets not forget to include: my Worldwide Invasion Responder notes, my Invasion Canceler notes, my Dungeon path notes, Balloon Towers, Aetherblade Caches, Sky Crystals, Sonic Periscopes…

Excerpt of conversation between me and my spouse:
“Honey, where is that paper that had all those scribblings and hash-marks on it?”
Response: “Oh you mean that wasn’t supposed to be in last weeks trash?”
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”

I agree with you, especially on the Dive Master one. I’d finish it if I could remember which ones I’ve already done. And no, I’m not taking notes and keeping files for a game I’m playing. lol

I’d also love to be able to join an event 12 minutes after it’s started, but that’s just me.

i can agree on dive master. i set up a tab in excel to track mine.

the invasions on the other hand… happen so frequently, i dont have much of an issue recalling which maps ive done.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

CL: Notes and Files. Yes this is an option which I, myself have used but I agree I am not a fan of doing so either.

LS: But what if you spread those invasions out over, say a week or two? If you do them in one day or so then Yes, one maybe able to remember but doing them over multiple days could be a different story.

Personally, I completed my over 6 days and at the end I had no clue which one I was missing. Lucky for me I hit the right one just by chance after 2 tries upon hitting 12/13.

This all falls under the assumption that everyone got credit for each event they participated in. If you didn’t how would you know which one you misssed?

Personally, I’d like to see an in-game scratchpad. Pop it up and make whatever notes you want on it – like achievements lists.

LS: do one event. go to the border of the map. do other things for 40 minutes. tada. you get credit for the achievement.
