…would they or should they scale Legendaries and Ascended items that you already own?

This is something that I’m concerned about. It would be heartbreaking if and when they raise the level cap. Your Legendaries and Ascended pieces would become obsolete, negating all of the hard work and time spent for those items.

I’m slowly working on a Legendary, and I’m thinking about working on an Ascended backpiece (Quivers look cool!). But it got me thinking about the future and the expansion.

What are your thoughts on this? Should they scale Legendary and Ascended items when the cap is raised? If so, how would that work? Or should they become obsolete?

They’ve already stated that they didn’t want legendaries to become obsolete. If the level cap was raised, I would bet that legendaries would continue to be kept current.

Legendary’s are nothing but a skin, why would they continue to buff them? -An expansion (with a level cap raise) would bring NEW legendary skins.

Thanks! So, now the concern is Ascended items.

They have already stated that if the cap goes up, new gear will be available. Your lvl 78 exotic is not as good as your lvl 80 exotic. Don’t expect your lvl 80 ascended to change or be better than your level 85 ascended.

I hope they scale exotics as well.

I’ve got quite a fair bit of transmuted armor pieces.

I think the ideal would be to diversify stat distributions.

I would hope they won’t bother raising the skill ceiling while we still have 4 out of 5 skills and 3 out of 5 traits being useless and 3 of 8 classes being of questionable worth.
