If they remade a GW1 mission
Aurora Glade!
15chars
That one where you travel really far to kill that guy who has like a million minions.
Edit: The Villainy of Galrath – that’s the one. It’s a quest instead of a mission, but it’s one I remember for the epic journey and the mass quantities of enemies, both along the way and at the destination.

Not a mission per se… but I’d love to see presearing (and young Gwen) again.
aurora glade for sure.
now i remembered the bonus missions:) that was cool to do
Using fractals to tell the story of GW1 would be pretty cool.
As far as missions go, I’d like to relive
5. Consulate Docks (shows the fall of Kormir)
4. Tracking the Nornbear (gives insight to the origins of the Son’s of Svanir)
3. The Dragon’s Lair (meeting Glint)
2. Aurora Glade (could be copied and pasted and would work just fine)
1. Raisu Palace (death of Togo at the hands of Shiro
I’d really like to take part in a battle during the actual Guild War events
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”
Glint would be awesome fun.
I always loved mission defending LA, it was the bonus once you completed one of the full stories.
We could use a defense fractal.
Moddok Crevice.
The tears would flow.
Fighting your doppleganger.
Moddok Crevice.
The tears would flow.
Only if you had to complete the bonus!
the mission in elona where you had to defend 3 towers, there were i think 4or5 portals around those spawn monsters attacking the towers and each portal had a boss to defend it. That required strategie. it would be cool to see that back.
3. Aurora Glade
2. Gate of Madness
1. Assault of the Stronghold
Assault on the Stronghold could be awesome with GW2’s improved siege mechanics. It’s also quite important story wise.
Annihilator & Annihilator 2 :P
Smough The Cruel [WvW] – Warrior
Moddok Crevice.
The tears would flow.
^This made my day
I personnally think they should make UW or FOW, that would be awesome.
(edited by Keiran.1896)
I dunno about a specific mission, but I know that they should add the Abaddon fight to this game.
And they should definitely include the /dance scenario from that fight
There was one place, one mission that was infamous for being the death of pugs, where rage and tears were as common as the snow around them and where monks were treated as gods:
Thunderhead keep
-Mike O’Brien, President of Arenanet
All Faction missions were fun and i remember spamming them on Hard instead of something like a dungeon because they were fun. Fun isn’t something gw2 campaign knows or will ever know.

I must have been the only person who enjoys Prophecies more than Factions =D

This was a great event and would gladly do this again as a Fractal.
I want to relive the war between the Humans and the Charr.
- Piken Square, [REN][DKAL]
I want to relive the war between the Humans and the Charr.
There is a Fractal for this, at least a good part of it. You are turned into a Charr and have to break into a castle and kill the commander.
Possibly
- The Great Northern Wall
- Iron Mines of Moladune
- Thunderhead Keep
- Heart of the Shiverpeaks
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Minister Cho’s Estate.
“it doesn’t make you spend hours preparing to have fun, rather than having fun”
Guild missions say otherwise.
I would like to see events that happened around the time period of Guild Wars 1, but that we as players never actually experienced. For example, the rebellion and slaughter of Balthea Havocbringer. Or the uprising of Kalla Scorchrazor. Or King Adleburn doing his thing with the sword and causing the Foefire.
Not sure which one I’d pick, but I’m leaning towards something done in the ‘Fissure of Woe’ flavor. This is a great idea though.
RNG could determine if you fight the Undead Lich or Shiro Tagachi in the end (but you could fight both of them at the same time on higher difficulty levels).
I am Fleeting Flash, in-game dungeon cosplayer of Reddit Refugees [RR] .
Imperial Sanctum. Nuff said.
Resident Thief
Cantha Courier Crisis!
It has the ultimate attack: Falken Punch
RNG could determine if you fight the Undead Lich or Shiro Tagachi in the end (but you could fight both of them at the same time on higher difficulty levels).
Best suggestion yet.
Hell’s Precipice – I’ve always felt Rurik’s end was kind of anti-climatic. If they could re-make that with a clearer focus on Rurik’s character it’d be so much better.
Eternal Grove/Gyala Hatchery/Dzagonur Bastion – These could be re-made into tower defense games. I think Gyala Hatchery especially has potential since you have to move with the group too. The defense game type is not in fractals yet so it’d be a nice addition.
I want it to make sense right away, then another sense later. Murkiness =/= quality "
- CCP Abraxis
Eternal Grove.
Remember having to go and get a party instead of henching the first time I went through and to get the full bonus? Way back before the hero panel, and you couldn’t do divide and conquer tactics with henchmen? Good lawd.
Raisu Palace + Imperial Sanctum combined into one would be the best though.
Would actually play a fractal.
RNG could determine if you fight the Undead Lich or Shiro Tagachi in the end (but you could fight both of them at the same time on higher difficulty levels).
Best idea. Better still, we’d be doing it without Kormir following us around!

Yeah but this is GW2, an NPC will always follow!

All of GW1… I’d love to re-live everything.
Its been so long so I’m kinda fuzzy on the lore between now and prophecies, but it would be nice if we could get a fractal showing the middle time thats between the two games. Maybe why the gods aren’t as focused on/worshipped much anymore?
Also maybe play as a Mursaat or take some folks to the bloodstone?!
Iron Mines of Moladune’s infusion runs were always fun. GW2 version: Bringing Spectral Essence to the Seer will allow players to obtain an infused ascended armor of choice.
Fractal happens every 10th level as a bonus stage, reward from each can only be obtained once per character.
Might as well add Ring of Fire and Abaddon’s Mouth infusion runs too.
I want the little girl from the very start to fall through a time vortex and land in Queensdale. Find your bloomin flute now Gwen!

…….this is the best idea I’ve heard throughout the entire thread. Or at least, if not an infused armor, an infusion.
Thunderhead keep would be my pick
Thety already did…kind of? The fractals where you are the Charr invading Ascalon in the searing.
But do you mean a mission SPECIFIC lol
There was one place, one mission that was infamous for being the death of pugs, where rage and tears were as common as the snow around them and where monks were treated as gods:
Thunderhead keep
This f’ing 15x over. It was great, while pugs were qq’ing about this, the guild I was in was stomping thru this mission over and over again. It became our guild’s favorite mission. We did the bonus every time.
THK was definitely my favorite mission.
I also liked Vizunah Square (yeah I’m crazy) because it was such a cluster-f. Eternal grove was pretty awesome too. Frost Gate was another good one, although rage-inducing at initial launch of GW. Riverside Province was awesome (soloed normal mode + bonus on a ranger way back in the day). Iron Mines was fun mainly because of infusion run (way better than GW2’s version of infusion). Dasha Vestibule and Dzagonur Bastion were fun too.
Moddok Crevice.
The tears would flow.
Only if you had to complete the bonus!
OMG, LOL! That mission’s bonus. F you and your suggestions Dunkoro!
