What custom title would you choose for your characters?

I’m wondering if I could call dibbs on this Title for my charr: “Hairball….”, It’s the name of my dog in reallife and I have good feelings and sentiment asociated with the name…

Having our own titles would be so cool. I would make up all sorts of titles for my chars.
Ah, well. Faint hope.

My Mesmer (blue and white dyes): Rhapsody in Blue
Any char in PvP: Plz don’t hurt me.
Charr Warrior: Biff! Bam! Pow!
Ranger: I’m with stupid – ->
Charr ele: Charriots of Fire

While I like the idea, I’d hate to see all the stupid titles that would show up. Plus, Anet would have to police it, and it would be one more thing for people to report, so would be a headache.

If we’re keeping it honest, how ’bout:

Altaholic
Hoarder (Hoardaholic?)
Where’d I Leave My Keys
Shoot Me (for when I venture into WvW for a daily)

For my FT Engie: Pyromaniac.
For my Reaper: Nom nom nom.

You’d likely see many titles close to “prestigeous” titles.

• “Éternal”
• “Slíppery Slubling”

For the raids for example.

Personally I’d love an option to display your guild rank as a title.

Wurmicidal Maniac. It bothers me that the achievement sounds so much cooler than the title it gives.

Other than that I’m not sure. I really like the idea of giving characters a custom title but a lot of my characters names are basically descriptions or titles already. For example my norn revenant is called Vanirar which means spirit warrior.

But it might be nice to have that or something similar as a title too, since I doubt it’s easy for anyone to work out what they mean. And I don’t mind redundancy or repetition. Or redundancy.

I would like titles like these:

• The Doctor
• The Master
• The Corsair
• The Visionary
• The Captain
• The General
• The Other
• The War Chief
• The Monk

I like the idea mentioned above of altaholic. For when you purchase that third or fourth extra character slot.
Bixby – after the “I’d buy that for a dollar” guy in Robocop. Purchasable from the gem store.
“Thought Police” – for evading either a certain amount of damage or a number of evades.

OP: I use the “Professor” title on my ele, with one of the scribe back skins for the scrolls

On topic though: Leaf on the Wind for finishing the goggles achievement.

This isn’t 100% in the spirit of the OP, but I’ve wanted the following since about the beginning:
Magister
Warmaster
Lightbringer

The player character receives the appropriate title based on the chosen Order, but we never get to use them anywhere.
(Commander left out, as we can toggle that on and off with the commander system.)

The “In Character” for RP would be great.

I also really like the idea of the order giving us a title, like Synk said above. Would kind of make doing the story line mean something (which it should). Otherwise, why even have the NPC’s call us by those.

Well custom titles could have a high requirement such as being top 1000 in something and then you loose the title again if you arent top 1000 anymore, freeing it for someone else.
It would be kinda silly if custom titles werent unique and checked by customer support for lore consistenty and offensive content or you would see thousands of outrageous titles and self proclaimed kings, queens, imperators and gods.

I’d rather just have titles work in this fashion. We have enough, and there are enough good words, names and places mixed in that we could have some really neato names, but the customization just does not exist.
