Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.

I just bought the red lantern, and while it’s quite nice It stays dark…
Why bring a lantern if it doesn’t illuminate your path?
Just give it 1 skill, “light lantern” which turns into a source of light. and have the light turn off again with the same button, “extinguish lantern” It would add greatly to the value…
PLEASE?
how would you keep your lantern in the air anyways without hot air??
And don’t say magic. If it were for magic I would have the sun on a rope for all I care, if i needed a LANTERN!
I guess they will not like it in China, as it is meant to bring light….

Imo,that’s the way lanters look in this game,i learned to accept the things the way they are and not to complain,at least when is about stuff i can avoid by not buying. So if you don’t like it…don’t buy it.
Lantern, a.k.a. Lampion: a colorful paper tube or orb holding a candle…
Where is my candle?
And no If I cannot preview, I cannot see if I like it now, can I? The preview is completely out of the scope of the prreview window. SO I bought it based upon an assumption.
SO again I ask you please make me a light in the darkness. and enlighten yourselves.
I think you overestimate the brightness of candles. Especially in paper lanterns. It should light the way about as much as if you were holding a single Christmas tree light. These are for decoration, not illumination.
I think you under estimate the brightness of candles.
The human eye can see a single candle flame from 20 miles away. A single candle was all that was necessary for hundreds of years to illuminate an entire room or to light the way through the woods at night. It’s only in our overly lit world in which a light bulb is the equivalent of daylight that we forget that the human eye is designed to see in fairly low light conditions and that a single flame is sufficient for most purposes.
I don’t think the OP is making an unreasonable request at all. They are not asking for a torch but a minor light effect in the immediate area would be nice.
The word lantern comes from the roots “lan” and “tern.” “Lan” is most specifically a network of computers but can be more widely used to mean something that is connected. In this case, it’s connected to a string. “Tern” is the suffix version of “turn,” meaning an item which is turned on by double-clicking in your virtual inventory.
It’s really quite simple.
I don’t disagree it is a stupid item. I will refrain from voicing my opinion on those that purchased it…..
SO I bought it based upon an assumption.
Also, I’ll be a bit helpful: Dulfy posts videos of the items usually within hours of them being available in the store. Next time, instead of assuming and being upset when you are wrong, do a little research first.
Dude it’s your own fault for thinking a lantern would be a lantern…
