Ele….suits my play style best, was my main on GW1

Human, or Norn. Probably human though, for armor and character design options. Asura and sylvari are rather limited in character design. Asura and Charr armor is just sort of ‘meh’ to me.

Vigil. I’m a blunt, straight forward kind of gal. If it bugs me, kill it. Works for me.

Asura Mesmer, don’t care what order.

Although I’d probably pick Vigil because of their shoulderturtleneck and their visor.

edit: my mesmer is human and is my main, but not in vigil because i thought order of whisper suited better the mesmer personality…. too pity i didn’t know how beautiful vigil armor is…

However, I made an Asuran Ele, then a Human Thief (both Whispers), then a Human Ele (Vigil) before arriving at Human Mesmer in Priory. So if I had one char, I would have levelled quite a few to 80 and deleted them

A lot of people don’t have mains in this game.

Race: Human; best looking ascetically of the choices.

Class: Gaurdian; good in PvE, good in WvWvW, great in sPvP, fun to play.

Order: Order of whispers; because Tybalt Leftpaw is an amazingly funny NPC, and none of the orders really stand out as fun or intersting (all 3 have bland agendas IMO).

Norn, ranger, Vigil.

So now I’m wondering why my Norn ranger is in Whispers.

Whichever of my 8 toons I am playing is the one that’s my favorite.

Human Elementalist, Vigil.

Elementalist for enjoyability. Vigil for best light armor imo.

Oh man, that would kill me. I’ve got two of each class right now.

My main is a Human Male Elementalist in the Durmand Priory, and probably be the sole survivor of the current pack. The runners up would be my Human Female Mesmer in the Order of Whispers (who is a re-creation of my main from City of Heroes), and my Charr Male Guardian in the Vigil.

If I had only one option, and I was making someone from scratch instead of keeping an existing character, the Elementalist and Mesmer would get merged – a Human Male Mesmer in the Order of Whispers. If I could swap the effects so he had more of a Halloween Sunset theme than a Pink Crystal Butterfly Lisa Frank Poster feel, I’d have already made him as a Mesmer and someone else would be my Elementalist.

Charr Warrior, Whispers.

I choose Whispers because Tybalt is the best NPC in the game.

To answer your questions:

Race: Asura (IF ANet would fix the kitten camera-at-feet and/or add an option to have all alts with screen-centered camera.)

Profession: Mesmer. (Yes, the more tiny havoc-wreaking minions the better! Muwhahahaha… /parodies Despicable Me 2 commercials.) (Which coincidentally should answer “why” for the first question.)

Order: Whisper. Easiest to get through stories. Love the Whisper Staff. Absolutely hate Tybalt. He’s a buffoon. (Yes, I realize, everyone else outside my guild seems to love him.)

I would not play this game.

True story. I have “A” characters and “B” character. Right now three A characters.

If I had to pick just one…I don’t think I could.

The only race I could probably exclude would be norn…I could live without one if I had to.

Professionwise I’d have to have either a ranger or a mesmer.

But that’s about as far as I could break it down.

Human ele for sure.

Don’t care about the order.

The game sure would get boring not being able to mess around with alts though.

I wonder how many people started this game thinking they would only ever have one character. I know I did. I didn’t think I would ever need or cope with any more. Ha. I now have 10.

To answer your question, my choice would be a human ranger just as it was when I first stepped foot into this game. I love all my characters (though the affection is a bit forced with my Norn guardian) but my ranger is very special. I don’t get to play her much because I am keeping busy levelling my alts but when I do, it is like stepping into a comfortable pair of shoes.

Not really. My main is a thief. But if I could only play one, it wouldn’t be thief. Id probably go for a Warrior. With a Warrior Ive always preferred Norn. I don’t care about order.

Elementalist because its my favorite profession.
Either Whispers or Priory. I usually just pick a order on the spur of the moment thing anyway.

I’m a one main character kind of guy anyway so it doesn’t bother me.

Human – no one ever plays them and I like to be different.
Ranger – because they’re the most overpowered class in the game and I like being powerful.
Whispers – because I hate it when people SHOUT

Just because I’m a fan of Asura, that I was on evouteur gw1, and I really like the Synergy! because I love the Durmand Priory

Human because they are best from the looks of armor and face.
Order of Whispers. Cause they most interesting(I liked the part in the story when you got to know who the Master of Whispers is – and I already knew it earlier).
Engineer – Fun to play.

That is my main.

I don’t think I could be happy in a game with only one character. I have 43 now.

The character I play the most is my Asura Ranger, so were we restricted to have only one that would be it, but I also wouldn’t be playing a game with that restriction.

Asura because their coments crack me up, are small so they seemingly move faster (I know it’s an illusion), have the ractial abilities I think are the most usefull, and because they have crazy pointy little teeth.

Ranger as I have always prefered ranged combat to melee in all my games, even though recently nerfed my most preferred weapon in the game is still the ranger shortbow. A close second for me is mesmer.

I have no preference on orders. I have played through all of them and along each of the varoius permutations of their stories. My selection of order now that I have played all the stories boils down to either weapon skins or armor skins that I might feel fit a particular character.

tldr: Asura Ranger Any

Yeah. I would just stick to my main. I do agree on the “A” and “B” idea, but I’ve definitely decided that my “main” is the one who is the official Collector of All the Shinies.

I came into this game expecting to play a Sylvari – and while I still really like them the Asura are definitely my favourite to actually play as. Beauty and grace are great, but it’s more amusing to be tiny, wobbly, and sarcastic.

I’d still stick with Engineer because I like explosions.

And Order of Whispers because Tybalt.

Asura – Small characters have the advantage in GW2, both with JP’s and PvP combat.

Guardian – Most balanced playable character class by far/decent at all aspects of GW2.

Vigil – Just because I am a Guardian really, no other reason.

Looks like humans are the favorite races. Guar/mesmer/ele the favorite classes, and whispers the favorite order so far.

Currently my main is my Sylvari Guardian, of the Priory. But I am really loving my Necro. So it’s a toss up of Sylvari Guardian Priory or Sylvari Necro Whispers.

Everyone knows that norn are best, thief are best and order of whispers is the best choice.
Therefore best choice = main.

Sylvari in the Order of Whispers, that part is easy to think of. For profession it is much harder but it would either be thief or necro. Probably thief? I guess I’ll go with that one. I would be sad not to have both, I’m so glad this is hypothetical.

Edit: I forgot to say why.
Sylvari are just my favorite race in any game I’ve played. I have 7 slots currently and use 6 of them for Sylvari. Order of Whispers because after playing through all three orders it was my favorite. I also loved Tybalt and like the view of the order and how they operate. Thief because that kind of character is typically my favorite in games, I’m a player drawn to stealth. Necro is a close second because I just love it in this game and it was what I played in GW.

Sylvari – I like their nobility. The character models are actually more attractive than the humans which have a strange, barbie/ken doll quality about them. Asura would be second, but being forced to choose, I’d go awesome over comic.

Guardian – I like almost all of the professions, but Guardian is most able to perform well in all aspects of the game. I love my Mesmer in small scale combat, not so much in large. Same with thief. Warrior for PvE, but not PvP. Ele is pretty good in many different areas, but it’s hard to beat Guardian’s survivability and damage output.

Order – Whispers for Tybalt.
