Playing since release, have down most JP, map completition, most of the Living story, and still wondering how in the world can there be so many people with 9k AP…

im never going to get those shoulder pads T_T

What is the point of this thread? What is the discussion?

They have done there dailys/monthlys since release both normal and PvP, probably salvaged a lot as well…

Still, you got 15g for having 5000 AP’s, can’t complain about that…

The point is I believe he is asking how people have 9k achievement points.

Im sitting at 4.7k now and I have only been playing since the end of SAB. I have got all JP, all personal story for all races, some pvp and wvw, nearly half slayer done, started a bit on weapon master. and I have completed all LS achievements since Southsun. I also do dailies everyday. Now thinking about someone who did what I have done for the past 3 months, It is easy to understand that I would have got 9k achievement points had I been playing since launch nearly a year ago.

In the OP’s post i do find the (interesting) question how players that atm have like 9k AP, got that amount.

My first guesses would be, multiple chars and that they did/do PvX and WvW.

Doing the Living Story achievements will give you a boatload of achievement points. That doesn’t hurt. Miss a few living stories, and it’ll take you longer to get your achievement points up.

Should pads are at 6K or something, its not uncommon to see them. Only a couple of thousand in the entire world has the 9K to get the helmet.

Its quite easy to get achievement points <5K, its above that you start to run out of things to do. I have almost 7.5K and cant exactly dedicate myself to achievements anymore (like doing 10 jump puzzles – already done with them all). At best, I got like 150 points sitting in the explorer tab and a couple of slayer achievements about to tick over a tier.

I have 7k and I have 8 chars maxed, one of each class, I have used all weapons alot and I am doing more or less every daily and monthly, I do all Living story and I wander the world with all my chars so I kill alot of different mobs every day ^^
I play some WvW and I play sPvP and also there doing dailies and Monthly if possible to do it without tPvP.
I try to get the cultural armors, I have all crafts on 400 and I salvage every salvage item and rare level 75-80 gear.
I have done all JP.
I have played for 1577h 44m over the past 11 months.

Dailies are worth 5 minimum per day and monthlies are worth minimum 40 per month. That’s about 200 per month. Assuming someone always does their dailies and monthlies that’s 2200 since release.

This was not the case in the past – at some point, there were only 5 randomized dailies (started with “get combo kills” fail achievement which was removed after 1 day, remember?), each of them was for 5 point, so tah was 25 points per day → 750 per month (only PvE dailies included)

Run a lot of exp dungeons as well maybe?

Man, sitting on 7800 AP, not even done everything in PvE and only minimal PvP
