I would like to propose ‘improvements’ to the way Guild Wars 2 handles materials collection and depositing – more so, the depositing side of things. I spend a lot of my time on expeditions collecting materials and invariably have to engage in combat. That generates trophy items which frankly are junk and we all know it … yet I am expected to carry about said junk items in my inventory taking up valuable room until I can reach a vendor who I can utilize to get rid of them – the SELL JUNK button.
So I propose a JUNK button option from within the inventory itself, so we are no longer encumbered by garbage that is worth a few bronze at most but which is taking up valuable space in the inventory. Could we remote-sell it while still in the field? Or if that is deemed too simple a solution, have it so that on demand (selection of the JUNK button in inventory itself) the junk items are automatically shunted to a special ‘bin’ in our bank (much like crafting materials are) where they can be imported back into regular inventory when the user chooses (and when sufficiently large amounts have been generated) so that all that ‘’small change’’ becomes BIG money!!
The second ’’improvement’’ would be in regards to the transferring of materials from the crafting section storage in the bank to regular inventory with emphasis on the user being able to mass select a lot of items at once simply by hovering the mouse over them and then click-selecting, de-selecting and then transferring the selected items en-masse. I find it both time wasting and incredibly irritating to have to click-select-move (whether by auto-move or drag) individual items as it reduces my efficiency. Of course if the number selected exceeds the number which can be successfully transferred the game says so and moves only what it can move and then leaves the balance unmoved.
The third ’’improvement’’ is in regards to items in the crafting materials inventory (with emphasis on ‘account bound’ items, which can be selected but not sold on via the black lion trading system. Can you reorganize the materials so that we can determine what can be sold and what cannot because it is account-bound? Perhaps a line around the box denoting its account bound status so people like me do not select it, move it to regular inventory and then wonder why my inventory if full of items that I cannot sell and have to use because of that account-bound status.
The last ’’improvement’’ is in regards to weapons deployment – yes, a minor one I will admit, but I am sure many of you have been in situations wherein you have wandered into a poison cloud (or other situation) in Tyria and the weapons have repeatedly auto-deployed (without being called for) and thus slowed you down – sometimes fatally. In such circumstances (especially when simply passing through and not intended to engage the enemy – if any) such action is incredibly irritating and reduces my efficiency. So I would like to propose that the game be changed so that weapons do not auto-deploy. I mean, what’s the point of it? All characters have a fixed walking/running speed so deployment only slows them down more and in some instances that is sufficient to get them killed.
