In my opinion achievement rewards are bad
I think it’s very nice of you to share your opinion with all of us.

I don’t know, I think the gold/gems amount is good enough, and it would make sense for the missing parts of Radiant/Hellfire armor to come out in the coming months.
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”
Considering some people already have 12k achievement points it is a wasted chest for them thought, if they only like one of the armor sets. But knowing anet it will be just another incomplete armor set.
I would rather have better skins than gold/gems/laurels/other consumable crap.
Entitled much? The money is fine. It’s not supposed to buy you a legendary. It’s a bit extra…compared to most activities in the game, it’s pretty good. It’s an EXTRA reward for doing achievements. It’s a bit of a bonus, like what you get with a daily or monthly…it’s not supposed to make a huge difference.
The point is, people who already have 10,000 achievement points need the help a whole lot less than people who have hardly anything.
It’s really boring reading these threads about how “useless” are (for some people) the achievement rewards. Still talking about that?!
Just be happy and stop! Work for the 12k to get the title, if you want “something more” than us poor noobs .
lol more complaints about free stuff
Its not free stuff. Its free if you get it instantly doing nothing for it.
But if you have more than 10k achievement points at this point it was definatly work. You do not get that amount by just playing.
They try to give you a nice freebie as an extra reward for the time put into earning the achievements, and they get slapped in the face….
Funny thing here, for this guy to have over 10k, he had to have had at least 9k before the achievement chests were implemented.
So, he is actually complaining about being handed rewards and account bonuses for something that he was doing anyway that was giving him nothing previously other than a higher AP score.
There are some serious mental gymnastics going on there.

That about sums it up..
I of course don’t agree with the OP’s point, about how he deserved better rewards for his “superior” 10.000 APs.
However, I do feel bad that we don’t get a full armor set. I doubt ArenaNet will ever make the remaining armor pieces for Radiant and Hellfire. I also don’t know why, but I think it’s very hard to mix and match GW2 armors (it felt easier in the original GW), so having individual armor pieces just isn’t that great.
I wished they would finish the Radiant and Hellfire sets, even if the remaining pieces had no particle effect, just were fitting with the currently available parts.

I don’t know if they will finish making the sets. It looks like they have to whole concept art for at least the Hellfire. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
I don’t think its really any harder to mix-n-match here than it was in gw1. In either game, there are some pieces that don’t go with anything except the set for which they were designed. Others could go with practically anything, and then there are the few in between that look good with some but not with others. Of course, there are always those that select their armor components simply based on they like how that one pieces looks, and to kitten with how it fits into the set they are building, which results in some odd mismatches, but hey to each their own. If you like it, that’s all that matters.
Admittedly, having the pvp locker so I can play around with the majority of the skins and dye is a boon. Wish I’d had that in GW1! I don’t know how much plat I spent buying armor here, there, and everywhere just to see how they would go together, and then dying repeatedly to try and get the colors to match properly. Woo boy.
I think the rewards themselves are just fine. I made 15 gold yesterday for cracking 5k. Leet! I do think they went overboard with the amount of badges of honor. I never have to step foot in WvW if I wanted to go for my legendary. I think I have like..1500+ badges now?
Anyways, the rewards themselves are good. But I think people are more concerned with getting more achievements than actually enjoying the game and forging an adventure now. People are checking off boxes more than ever, instead of simply playing. I dont see this as a positive thing. This is, yet again, another carrot dangling in front of our face. There are too many carrots. The solution: Bring all content and their reward systems on par with eachother and provide the same stuff. All dynamic events, world bosses, map completions, jumping puzzle chests…have all of that stuff reward the same things. In my opinion: Remove a lot of the current reward systems like laurels, and have everything purchasable via karma or in game currency.
