Nearing the 2 years anniversary now and I can’t help but look at that world map which nearly half is inaccessible.

Has anything been said about all that unused world space?

Ye, you’ve got a new map today, lol. 2nd small permanent map in 2 years time. You’re going to wait some time to access the rest of it.

This is like the 5th thread in as many days. Is all the fanfare about Gates of Maguuma patch not enough? We got a new map today and people are just now asking if we are ever going to get new maps.

The answer is YES. They have been saying YES to this question since launch.

1 thing bothers me tho..

There are 2 new maps now.. (permanent), but look at the amount of space still unused..

This new area is not even that big.. it’s half the size of a normal small map, sure it has heights, but it’s small. More like a fractal level..

How long should we wait for a 100% map? 18years?

Judging from the story, I’d wager that we’ll get a fair bit, if not all, of Maguuma unlocked in S2.

I have a feeling every episode or most of them in season 2 will have a new map.

Then it’ll be "why didn’t you do this on day one, ArenaNet’. And ‘ArenaNet is wasting their and every player’s time in Maguuma, there’s so much more of the world to explore. (sigh) I’ve lost all hope’.

Even if the whole world was released in 1 patch, people would complain about something.
