Income from dungeons...
On another note, now I know why everyone keeps talking about kittens. It’s a filter word, that’s cute, lol.
Hate to go on, but again, dungeon rewards need to be re-worked, majorly. Just getting some chests that don’t even drop that much (what, like two things and a chance at potions?) and a negligible amount of money/xp at the end is really ridiculous. It makes you feel, after those amazingly well designed dungeons, like you happen to be an escort working for tips, and somebody just stiffed you, twice.
Edit: Got a current event for ya. Friend of mine just ran ARAH for the first time. 45 minute run, 0 wipes, apparently a perfect run, and he got half of the usual reward. REMOVE WHATEVER SYSTEM YOU IMPLEMENTED, THIS kitten IS REDICULOUS!

Yeah pretty much we beat inflation with recession.
Im annoyed they did that they’re punishing people who used dungeons once or twice to get wp pocket money and maybe insurance.

I think income is fine. Compare it to the other large MMO that launched recently (SW:TOR), and we have it good here in GW2. In SW:TOR the rewards from Operations are equivalently less than in GW2.
In no way should you be able to run a 30 minute dungeon and get 24s in the current economy. No way. People that say otherwise are either annoyed that they missed out on this “oversight” or have been so spoiled.
To close – running a Dungeon (for straight up coin) should not be an option. Dungeons are for loot, tokens and for the challenge.
Ok. 24 silver is not too much for a 30 minute run. It is, however, if the run takes 30 minutes EVERY TIME. A smart solution would be to give diminishing returns PER DUNGEON. Not, “Oh, hey, you ran this other dungeon today, so enjoy your severely diminished returns on any other dungeon you run.” I haven’t even bothered trying to run explo mode because I’m afraid that it will be a complete waste of my time. Yes, dungeons give you loot. But that happens to be inconsistent. If nothing else, we at least need to KNOW how the DR system works.
Dungeon reward system is bugged, do dungeon runs at your own risk.
Inflation is unfairly maligned in MMORPGs, I’ve found. Real life doesn’t have goods that stay the same price no matter what, such as skillbooks, waypoint travel, etc.
Yeah, and unfortunately every company that publishes an MMO treats it like a plague. Inflation caused by 26s for a 30m dungeon would not be that bad. 10m runs, yeah, but 30m? Thats less than a gold for each hour. Depending on drops you MIGHT make 1g/hour but still.
