Guild Wars 2

Hey guys,

I am new, so I hope it’s in the right section. This issue has to do with Guild (wars). I am currently in a guild that is near the 500 member max.

The solutions are less then satisfactory (making a new guild) because you lose the social aspect since chat is not shared or (ask everyone to go on VoiP) not everyone wants to go through the hassle of always be on Teamspeak all the time.

Request: Please increase maximum of guild members or add the option to make custom chat channels so we can create multiple guilds but use 1 channel.

If I am missing something and being a total noob, please correct me.

Yeah they could do something to help the big guilds. Creating a new guild is really a pain as you need to queue all the upgrades again etc. Maybe they are planning something for HoT about it because I’d really like to see something done about it

There’s no custom channel / alliances or anything you can use to share chat between two guilds.

Also I don’t like your idea, you really need another 500 spots? o.O

Guild Alliances (with alliance chat) was a highly requested feature in a CDI a few months ago. IIRC, even one of the devs listed it on their top list of guild features they wanted in the game.

I think the player should decide for himself if they want to join a massive guild that can easily rally up for WVW or be in a small family guild.

Either way, this game has a big focus on playing together and the fact we are near 500 members puts us in a situation I don’t like to be in in the 1st place.

Awesome, could we get confirmation that this is in the pipeline then?

Maybe in the Deep Dive that addresses the new Guild Halls, etc. Other than that, I would suspect a confirmation unlikely.

I’m sure there are more people for whom this might be an issue. I’ll just leave it in this part of the forum, don’t think this can be seen as a new feature.
