So, for the t3 legendary collection for The Energizer you need to make indigo Mushroom Milkshake which costs 10 drops of indigo mushroom milk, having seen the ridiculously low droprate on the mushrooms I dread the worst,

Do I really need to collect 250 indigo mushrooms that are an incredibly low drop chance for a legendary precursor that I could’ve bought 3 times?

Or am I going to assume this is a bugged collection part that just wasnt intended to drop so low?

Either way, i’d love some dev response!

hrm? I have 1 of the mushroom milk thing in the bank and 241. The rate doesn’t seem particularly high or low and it does drop in quantities of more than 1 at a time. It does seem like it only drops from certain types of mushroom nodes.

On the other hand as you’ve mentioned crafting this is nearly 3 times the cost of buying so why bother?

Because i dont care much for gold, i want to experience what they came up with with pre crafting and +9 AP is nice to me, however I do not like being forced into a grindwall after spending that amount.

Are they low? I’ve been inadvertently collecting hundreds of them from mushrooms and truffles I’ve harvested around Tyria, not knowing what they are for previously.

I’d give you mine if I could, but the drop rate seems pretty high compared to many things at least.

Yes I agree, that’s pretty bad luck if that is all you are getting. I certainly get way more than that. I think I’ve had double digit indigos from a couple of nodes.

Maybe try a gathering booster and see if that helps?

The droprate is very high. On average I get more than 1 per mushroom.

What mushrooms are you harvesting? it seems I get more on portobello mushroom than standard mushroom, so im guessing the high level mushroom nodes give the most?

I haven’t noticed any correlation. I usually get them from portobello and truffles (orrian/snow) though. Also sawgill I think might be a good resource to farm from – I got a fair few from those iirc

Got some bad news for you. If you think this is grind then wait till you do the tier 2(it’s the same for every weapon of both generations).

I know, made Rodgorts Flame, that was less ridiculous than this *@!# can understand tier 2 being grindy, after all you need to pay for something. But tier 3 shouldnt be grindy, it should be fun.

People call everything a grind nowadays. It is pathetic.

Well, if i’ve been farming mushrooms for the past 2 hours and I only got 2/10 milks so far, something is wrong >.>

Did you try the mushrooms in HoT maps? I get 4 or 5 all the time from them.

Hmm I also have The Minstrel collection unlocked. That also requires the mushroom.

Im currently farming the same nodes on different character, this seems to work pretty well but nothing amazing, still looking at 4 hours of grind at this rate

For ref, I harvested 3 nodes of sawgill. I got 3 lots of of Indigo at 4, 5 then 4 again. 2 of those came from the same node. Sawgill could be your answer

It’s really not bad now. You can (rarely) get up to 15 in one harvest.

3-5 is pretty common. Go to the skritt caves in Mt. Maelstrom or gather the orrian truffles in Cursed shore for decent farms.

Indigo Shake gathering is, quite literally, 10x better than it was at launch:

You can drop them in greater quantities at one time. Once got 15 from one harvest. And they seem to be dropping from every mushroom node, including those in core. Chances seem to be best on t6 nodes (sawgills, orrian truffles and snow truffles).

Actions, not words.
