Where should i find some “rules” about macro?

The use won’t be for SPvP, PvE or WvW.

Only to:

-Open chests
-Using Candy Grobber

Both 1 Click macro, to avoid Mouse destruction.

And RSI for that matter. In the 3 years I play Gw2 I started feeling pains in my mousehand after a night of Gw2. Way too much excessive clicking in general. (Double-click to open this bag to get that bag to get this bag which gives this consumable, and then double-click to use that consumable).

Instead of people having to ask to use Macro’s I suppose Anet could take a look at an ingame solution?

The ‘Consume All’ option is already available and could perhaps be implemented more often.

The rule is ‘1 button press = 1 action’. It doesn’t matter what you’re going to use it for.

The best solution I’ve seen is to bind left-click to the mouse wheel so that each ‘click’ of the wheel is 1 left click in-game. That way you can spin the wheel and do a lot of clicking quickly with minimal damage to your hand or your mouse and stay completely within the rules.

With Win7 (and presumably later versions) you can go to the Accessibility controls and activate the mouse control by keypad option. Then the num pad + is a double click.

That does mean one key press = two mouse clicks, but I can’t imagine them sanctioning you for using that to consume stacks of holiday food without ruining your hand tendons and mouse button. You still have to actively press it and it gives zero game advantage over anyone else. Unless you, with your still functional hands and mouse, can then trounce the aching players that did it the regular way?

@donari: if some1 plays bad or with time sinks to opening or use an item it’s not my problem. If there’s a way to skip time sink, expecially while you are nit playing at all, i would like to know.

There re also players who record “songs” and then play em with a macro while on instrument ( which makes fall to the ground the “1 button press= 1 action”. Cause they re not gettin banned, and also don’t get from macro any profit, like opening chests or use items ).

Some clarity about would be really great ( i am also sure i have read a thread about months ago, but still i can’t find it ).
