Hey everyone!

I just wanted to know how much a perfect Infusion costs and when to stop upgrading one. I mean if you infuse a +10 AR infusion, you won’t get it out anymore and have to “restart” the construction of a perfect +15 AR infusion, but +15 seems a bit hard so …

I was kinda shocked :o I calculated the prize of ~23 silver per +1 AR infusion (guess it’s current price) and this was the result:

+1 Infusion requires 1 Infusion and costs 23 Silver.
+2 Infusion requires 2 Infusion and costs 46 Silver.
+3 Infusion requires 4 Infusion and costs 92 Silver.
+4 Infusion requires 8 Infusion and costs 1.84 Gold.
+5 Infusion requires 16 Infusion and costs 3.68 Gold.
+6 Infusion requires 32 Infusion and costs 7.36 Gold.
+7 Infusion requires 64 Infusion and costs 14.72 Gold.
+8 Infusion requires 128 Infusion and costs 29.44 Gold.
+9 Infusion requires 256 Infusion and costs 58.88 Gold.
+10 Infusion requires 512 Infusion and costs 117.76 Gold.
+11 Infusion requires 1024 Infusion and costs 235.52 Gold.
+12 Infusion requires 2048 Infusion and costs 471.04 Gold.
+13 Infusion requires 4096 Infusion and costs 942.08 Gold.
+14 Infusion requires 8192 Infusion and costs 1884.16 Gold.
+15 Infusion requires 16384 Infusion and costs 3768.32 Gold.

So … a +15 Infusion is worth ~2 Legendaries o.O huh … Iguess I’d like to miss some AR

You forgot to include the cost of the thermocatalytic stuff.
Theres a whole table of costs on the wiki going till +30.
Just search for ’ + 1 agony infusion’

Is there even any point in such high infusions atm? Its a gimmicky gold sink atm, nothing more. We can start picking up pitchforks once we will need ascended gear decked with +15 infusions to progress to fractal level cap.

extra stats for your ascended gear, mostly used for agony resistance which is something that you need for fractals

No, you buy them in a pack of 10. So a single combination is + 1.4s

  1. 23s
  2. 47.4s
  3. 96.2s
  4. 1.94g
  5. 3.89g
  6. 7.79g
  7. 15.6g
  8. 31.22g
  9. 62.45g
  10. 124.91g
  11. 249.84g
  12. 499.7g
  13. 999.41g
  14. 1998.83g

Totally correct :P Since I doubt anyones calculations I did it myself too, correct
So … 4’000 Gold for a +15 Agony Resist Infusion

If it would be true that it goes up to 30 that’d be sick 130’996’503 gold Hue hue not even ANet had that much gold at their streams xD

I’m 99% sure the cap is at +15 :P

Well, considering I’ve run FoTM once and have 6 +1 infusions, I’m thinking the idea was more that you would accrue a bunch of them over time than to outright buy them. Assuming you played FoTM regularly.

I won’t stop because I can’t stop.

The evidence is that it is Ascended tier. All Ascended tier items have infusion slots, including Legendaries after having been upgraded to Ascended.

Well, new versions of the armor codes have already been found. And there is no Infuzion slots on them. Nor any information about the fact that armor could be improved.

Not everything in codes or data mined are true. Last Friday devs livestream about the new healing skills, they mentioned that the final version is different version whats on data mined. I guess we have to wait for few more hours to find out.

Hm.. If slots are true – would be pretty easy to build 70 + AR. Perhaps it makes sense to introduce some new effects for AR. For example, donno, reducing incoming damage from mobs of fractals, or something

Also don’t forget a vast majority of the infusion levels are useless (Assuming Agony needs AR that goes in clumps of 5).

So, realistically your options are:

AR 30: 3 10s infusions —-————- 384 fractal runs — 22g 93s 38c in Reagents
AR 35: 2 +12s, 1 +11 infusions — 1,280 fractal runs — 76g 55s 03c in Reagents
AR 40: 2 +13s, 1
14 infusions —- 4,096 fractal runs — 245g 7s 48c in Reagents

Getting to 45AR (with 3 +15s) is prohibitively expensive/insane.

Assuming ascended armor has infusions slots (+30 AR), along with the current max (40 AR without using the agony infusion slots). That brings us to 70 AR “base”. 85 if you had things already infused.

I would guess that +30AR from infusions would be the “norm” for fractal runners (more than 1 run a day for a year to get them all), while +35AR would be for most fractal farmers.

Either way AR is prohibitively “capped” at 100-105 AR (or 70-75 if armor doesn’t have infusion slots). The only way we can get more AR is if they let us infuse our amulet and earrings (and possibly weapons/armor which would most likely make us lose sigils/runes). Assuming it’s just the trinkets, we’re at a max “hard” cap of AR at 135-140 (105-110 without armor) unless higher level infusions start dropping.

And considering we already need 70 AR to take 1% from agony (and presumable 85 AR for lvls 60-69) I don’t see how armor can’t have infusion slots, considering we’re already at the “max” cap.

And to even get 70 AR now takes 23g (reagents) + ~338g (infusions) = ~361g (if you already had the infused back item). And each run you do yourself just saves you 0.22*4= 0.88g.
