Innocents getting hit by bot banwave...
Probably because they were tired of everyone saying that they were doing nothing about the bots ^^.
Contact support. Plead your case. No one here can do anything about it.
I already contacted them, this is just a rant.
By the way, the funny part is that in the past few days I reported like a ton of bots and this is how they thank me.
This may help you retek

The thing is ppl did go on about boting so they are doing something about botting that why its not the best thing to be so hard on one small thing or you will have them go after it a great deal. Not to say boting is a good thing just watch how you say something.

Or you could be a botter who’s trying to pretend to be innocent, posting on the forums and hoping to garner enough attention so that they will somehow overturn your ban?
You never know!

Well, I am not. Well, I can’t prove it here on the forums, nor can you prove the opposite.
Anyway, accusing me wont really help anyone here. I’ve already sent my ticket and waiting to get it resolved. patiently
I’m just sayin’ that they should rethink the process of these kinds of bans, instead of just storming in, throwing banhammers on everyone.
They don’t just randomly login and ban people. You would have been banned for whatever you’ve done over the past week to a month.
If you’ve been farming grawl during your entire play session for the last few days, then you’ve probably been reported every day. Since you were always in roughly the same area, your movements would have been flagged as bot-like.
If you haven’t done anything questionable, then chances are you’ve been banned for afking with a pet out or autocast on during an event at some point in time.
Unless ArenaNet got tired of bot complaints and have started banning accounts with more than <x> reports, a ban is never given without some kind of evidence to back it up.

Well, for a few days in a row I’ve spent about 20-30 minutes each day around the Jumping Puzzle area in Frostgorge hunting for Grawls, gathering and doing the nearby events and completing my daily.
After that I headed to WvW and stayed there for some hours each day, so it’s kinda weird.
And I’m a warrior so it can’t be my pet.

I’d like to point out infractions, deleted posts and over zealous mods on the forums. Could be the same exact thing happening with bans in-game. So what if he is in the same area? A simple mod message asking him to respond and talk with him would have solved it being in question. Also, a bots activity is extremely easy to spot compared to someone who is not botting, but running in one area.
This is exactly what ANet said they’re afraid would happen, if they weren’t careful about how they went about it. Uncanny, isn’t it?
I really wish they put some real people in game checking exactly who they are banning instead of looking at a log or whatever they are doing.
