Inside Anet's minds

Anet’s mind: 4 more dragons to go before they announce GW3.
Heart of Thorns seems to have a lot in it that Anet believes will keep people happy. They’re focusing on the new revenant, so players will have a whole new profession to play around with and they’re adding new things for WvW and sPvP, two areas that they obviously feel are attracting players.
Then there’s the new emphasis on vertical adventuring. I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. I like the glider idea (enjoyed it in Archeage), but I’m not really that interested in JP, so I’m hoping the new areas aren’t going to feel like one big, really difficult jumping puzzle that only uber-talented gamers can reach most of the content and enjoy.
Dancing for more animals! Fingers crossed.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
It’s difficult to tell what direction they will head in. GW2 tried Living Story and cash shop centrism but is now switching to the boxed expansion model of GW1. Many players have called for an expansion and quite a few QOL changes that they’ve announced (and one they promised for free).
What I care about is how they’ll handle the gem store going forward. Will we get regular expansions with little gemstore focus like GW1? Or will they try to pull off paid expansions and gemstore heavy like many FTP games?
Time will tell. I hear many more players call this game free to play now, when I preordered the game we called it buy to play. Every time I hear someone call GW2 free to play I get a little angrier since I paid for the collector’s edition of a gem store ftp game. If they move more to box sales than gems I’d be very happy but I doubt it.

Dude, it’s not demons from Moria. It’s “Hidden Fun Stuff”. Just ask Ogden about it, he knows.

Do you think it has something to do with his hammer…?
Maybe we’ll get some savings!
The login is too complicated, it will be changed to putting square, circle and triangle shapes into holes for all us apes.
I think paid expans are good just for the fact they need to make some money and the game is still free to play.

Nothing you pay for is free.

Guild Wars 2 IS NOT free to play game. Stop spreading false information .
It is after paying for an account, Buy to Play (B2P). You need not pay another cent month after month to play the game, additional purchases is entirely up to each player.
