I pretty sure a lot of veteran players have given up doing them, unless they directly need more dragonite but I notice that these bosses aren’t attracting the required minimum number of people needed for them anymore, unless to guest to something like Blackgate.

Oh well, I guess it’s the kind of the thing that happens overtime when nothing new is added to the game, you can only kill something the same time, for the past 1.5 years, to a point.

Too much work for too little reward. It’s why I don’t even do dungeons anymore. And yes, “reward” also includes “fun.” If it’s not fun, it’s not rewarding either.

They need to drop the temp content, flesh out the game thoroughly with permanent content and let the living story die a quick death. I can’t go back to the Sanctum. Those 2 weeks were fun but they’re gone now.

Haven’t seen this on our server and ours isn’t a big server at all. I’ve notice though different servers have different experiences, regardless of population sizes. It might the differences in community make ups. Here on Gunnars Hold, we are fortunate to have some dedicated guilds/players who set up daily World Tours and plenty of players who will happily call out when a boss like Grenth or Karka is up to rally players to the cause.

I do agree though, there are going to be times when killing the same bosses over and over is just repetitive. I stopped doing them all for about 3 months for that very reason.

Same to having stopped doing them.

I’ve started doing them again because there are less people on them. Except for after reset. I’d rather have the second picture very time than the first. I even had to go minimal on my graphics for that one. Obviously I’d prefer more for a dragon-size event but smaller is more fun. And still doable for the lower level bosses.

Shatterer I still can’t do though. It’s perhaps my least fun one to play. Which is a shame, because the art design of him is the best of all the 3 dragons.

Revamped Golem and Mega Destroyer are always fun to do for me and Jormag – I’m probably one of the few who actually enjoys the fight! And I actually buck the forum trend of liking new Tequatl too.

What would improve the bosses is revamped mechanics (not to Teq extent, but at least so they were threatening!) and also a sense of defating them being meaningful. Right now they are just loot bunnies when they could/should have more meaningful impact on their zone.

I’ve attended four Shatterer events in the last week or so for three fails and a very satisfying win. One of those fails was by default since I was the only one there. I’ve always enjoyed the Claw of Jormag as well. It feels like you’re actually working toward something. But then, yeah, poof! there’s a chest and sayonara.

Maybe after these dragons are dead a bunch of events can open up that will purge the map of whatever bad guy is dominating it.

Put me in the group that World Bosses are more fun when there’s not a huge zerg beating up on the boss. The best memory I have of any World Boss was the Maw Shaman back before he got buffed. It was just me and 3 other people against him, and two of them were underlevelled. It came down to just me and a Guardian at one point, and the Guardian started kiting the Shaman around while I ressed the other two. After it was over we all agreed that was the most fun we had against the Shaman for a while.

NA prime time after reset YB-there is a huge Zerg that can cause OFs doing the world boss tour.

YB→YB→YB→YB→YB→YB→YB→most likely YB

There is no point doing them any more than once each a day because of the chest limitations. So if you see an event fail its not because people don’t do them any more, its because the majority have already done it that day and wont bother with it till after reset.

jormag and shatty are always packed with people.

This. Especially for the servers with a big reset zerg.

I’ve been watching bosses fail for a couple of months now. Some are better than others of course, like the Golem or Maw, but the dragons can’t be completed without a certain number of people and the fire Ele doesn’t scale down to small groups very well.

But you know, Scarlet…

My posts are facts as I know them, or my own opinion, and do not represent any guild.

World bosses aren’t fun since masses of people have done them with the improved loot tables. The mass about of people auto-attack AFKing renders any effort an individual trying to actually PLAY the game useless.

World bosses are a shame, just like most the game. You know it’s dire when the Living Story is the only thing in the game that’s going the intended way.

Work? Of all the things wrong with the majority of world bosses, “work” doesnt come to mind.
Frozen Maw, Behemoth, Fire Shaman, Golem, Wurm, Dredge, Shatterer and others are all just HP sponges. You stand, unload your skills or auto-#1, occasionally move a few feet to the left or right to avoid some attack, repeat.
Its mindless and hardly work. Time consuming watching them soak up the hits with their amount of HP, yes. The only ‘work’ involved is trying to stay awake through them.
World bosses are lame and hardly deserve the title to be called as such.
They all need complete revamps, rewards and difficulty alike.
