Q:
Invisible Whats?
Game Designer
A:
Chickens. So many chickens.
Quaggans obviously.
Chickens. So many chickens.
Or perhaps roosters this time of year?
Go to Ebonhawke and attack one of the ambient chickens. They’ll follow you right out of town…..
In fact, they chased me and two others clear out of town when one of us did that.
ANet may give it to you.
Chickens. So many chickens.
And what, pray tell, powers the chickens?
Invisible Shoes that never drop?
But what if Anet is better at coding though and don’t need bunnies beyond the visibly snugly ambient ones frolicking about till they’re violently murdered by an aoe?
GW1 was specicially mentioned – I wonder what it was there!
Chickens. So many chickens.
I read the topic and laughed at the obvious absurdity of this. Then I read the link…

Probably bunnies again.
GW1 already had a reputation for incredibly rare, immortal, invincible bunnies that just sat and watched with their tiny judging eyes.
Also GW1 and WoW weren’t that different in some ways. Although very different in others. I’m still annoyed that I could have discovered GW1 years earlier if I’d followed up on the reports of loads of top people (aka 3) quitting Blizzard to start their own studio and game.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I had heard that WoW GMs could log in as any of the bunnies, frogs, deer or other critters. They could follow players around to confirm exploiting and other bad behavior.
Hadn’t heard that invisible bunnies were actually casting spells to imitate world effects. Cool.
Quaggans obviously.
is that why we have an innate instinct to hate them? because they’re not supposed to exist?
that would make sense

I certainly hope you mean follow the characters around. Otherwise that’d be a little freaky.

Soooo are invisible zerker bunnies and chickens what is really to blame for the zerker meta?
NERF THE BUNNIES AND CHICKENS!!!
ANet may give it to you.
Frogs…of course it has to be frogs, small ones driving mecha-rabbits.
Never trust anything that uses ‘reddit’ so much…
Chickens. So many chickens.
This raises then the question of the next playable race. Obviously these chickens have all the animations for each profession’s skills if they are casting spells. Does this mean that chickens could be the next playable race since the groundwork is already done for them?
They won’t need voice acting, unless you want an actor to go cluck cluck cluck where the other races speak and dyeable feathers could be substituted for armor. I propose that the racial city be a chicken coop in Beetletun and the starting map be the vegetable garden outside that city. There’s bound to be a lot of bugs among the lettuce for our future chicken chars to level up by eating.
ANet may give it to you.
It’s kittens. And by that, you guys know I really mean… kittens.

If you don’t find the invisible chickens does that mean the invisible rabbits are not there also?
Risen Chicken: So tender the meat just falls off the bone
Thanks to our sponsors from KFC!
Chickens. So many chickens.
Ruled by cats. Just very select few.
Chickens peck, and chickens munch,
Chickens cluck, and chickens crunch,
Chickens flap, and chickens croon,
Chickens on the table soon.

In GW1 noob island, there was (or still is, as it certainly is immortal) a rabbit next to the waterfall close to Ashford Abbey. https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Rabbit_%28pre-Searing%29
That is the Ruler of Tyria. Powered by Duracell so he can drum for all of eternity (of course only when nobody is watching).
