Is Balth Open Anywhere

I checked a couple other sites, doesn’t look like it is open anywhere.
Better odds of finding Balt open on weekends. It was open on 3 servers on Sunday in EU.
If you’re in a hurry see if you can’t organize your guild to start the pres. Word will spread and other players will join along the way.
Lol I was in Orr last night (Yaks’ Bend) and noticed that literally every temple except Balth was open at one time. I announced them to my guild and nobody cared. Made me laugh. The only temple people care about and it was the only one locked.

Because it’s so much easier to fail than the others.
I think it’s somewhat of a people-check; without enough numbers, mobs zone in on NPCs instead of the meatbags pseudo-zerging around them; a few get picked off, a few more, morale drops too low, then failure.
I could be wrong but that’s sort of what i noticed in following it the few times I did manage to participate.

The Balthazaar Event is poorly tuned and it’s not clear how you prevent moral from dropping. Babysitting NPCs is never fun, especially not if you are somehow required to save them from taking damage when the game offers no real mechanics to do so.

Jade Quarry if you are NA
If gw2 state is down, which is seems to be kind of regularly when I’m checking it, there’s always gw2bear as well:

Morale is dropped when one of the guy you escort dies. Focus on quickly killing the veteran subjugators and healing the npcs and you’ll be fine. I run it for months 2-3 times a week and we never failed with this in mind.

That is a mixed bag.
The mobs zone in on NPCs regardless unless you are damaging them quick enough after they spawn.
More people also means more mob spawn.
More people means there is a higher chance there is someone standing next to a NPC while they have aggro resulting in AoEs being dropped on top.
On the other hand if you have enough people to overwhelm the scaling then some of the NPCs should be effectively invulnerable due to AoE limits.
With enough people you could also push multiple routes and basically start with a larger morale bar.
… at one of the early parts of the escort the NPCs will also off on their own even if you are still fighting the previous spawn. If you don’t notice they will die to the following ambush.
It is a numbers check, and your average zerg farmer isn’t able to resist the urge to go do their thing to save the npcs.
The event can be carried by 6-10 people, either by themselves or as part of a much larger group… but getting that core group who is willing to forgo all that extra loot to make the event work can be…difficult to say the least when 95% want nothing more than to be there for the last 10 seconds to get their tag, get their loot (dragonite/obi) and hit the next one right before it ends.
Part of me doesn’t blame them for this either, even though I don’t like it. I kinda wish Anet could set it up to reward those who take the time to try and actually work the content, because balth atm: has 4-5 events leading to the npc escort (people cry because they take too long, and/or they may have to learn to fight underwater) then the escort (people cry about having to defend npcs instead of a mindless aoe farm to finish the event, but never defend the npcs on their own), and then one last push to kill the priest that the zerglings love…. I don’t say nerf the end, I don’t say change difficulty, I say… make the rewards for those who DO the content double or tripple what they gain from the end box. Same thing with dungeons, don’t alter loot or mob difficulty, just double or tripple the gain for not being leet/lazy sobs and choosing instead to DO THE CONTENT. My treatise.
