Is it worth to have or should I sell it? I am almost done making it and I could sell it for bout 2000g and almost buy another legendary.

Opinions on the actual legendary though? (for a blue and gold Guardian)

1.) If you do not plan on using shield often, do not make it. You will regret it.

2.) If you are leaning towards selling it, DO NOT MAKE IT.

You should just make another legendary (I hope you did not make the gifts yet) like Sunrise since it can be sold for much more on the TP and in greater frequency.

Inb4 lightsabershield(Tormented Shield) inevitably replaces it as a tier 2 legendary.

It is one of the best legendaries in the game and looks awesome on most chars I have seen it on (I presume you have already previewed it off the TP to see what it looks like on your guardian?)
What Vol says it pretty much correct though – if you plan on selling, you only really want to make the most expensive you can.

Only you can answer the question of whether you will use it though. I’d have made one myself, but the Jade Dragon shield suited my toon more!

I was originally going for Bolt but I stopped playing Sword Mesmer and was playing Mace Shield Guardian and loved it. But FSP doesn’t have to much to it. So now that I am 1 step from completing it I am doubting it.

The shield itself is extremely well designed and good looking however, as many others have already stated, you will not be using shield as a guardian, except in very rare pvp and WvW. I don’t exactly regret making it because it’s a beautiful piece of art but I should have made more useful weapon first.

I wish Anet would take 15 mins and rethink the shield, the current one can be easily replace by more effective utilities which render it useless (hammer auto attack for protection 100% up time and Reflective wall/Shield of the avenger for the projectiles)

I never sold a legendary so I don’t know how hard it is to sell them in TP but don’t be too hasty if you sell it, it might take a while (2-3 weeks) if someone undercut you.

If i were you i would sell the shield then buy the precursor and mats for the legendary hammer. Offhand legendary weapons are not very cool, they dont give you footprints and stuff.

And the awesome look of the shield will be covered by your aegis when you are afk at Lions Arch, so i dont see the point of having a legendary weapon if you cant stay afk and look cool.

Unfortunately the shield is a terrible weapon for Guardians , despite it being an icon weapon of the class. It’s still better than the torch, but that’s not saying much.

Make it if you like the looks but don’t plan on using it.

I’m debating on sunrise personally. I’ve started gathering materials for it, but there are a ton of other greatswords I like.

I’m wanting to make it for my Warrior for RP reasons, but haven’t used a shield in ages since #5 doesn’t seem to help much in PvE. Torn if I should still go for it or just get a different one

I love the shield and I’d make it if. Could be bothered. But as others have said. Only make it if you are gong to use it.
