Guild Wars 2

… on purpose or is it just me?

I just started over my Sylvari character this afternoon. I hadn’t played it in a long time so I thought I’d give it a whirl with a reset. Since then I’ve been unable to use two weapons at once, spoon fed a 2nd ability, and restricted from learning abilities through progress rather than level. Not saying I don’t like this patch, I’m just saying it’s terrible. I have a Char thief that is now locked into dual wielding daggers without the option to finish unlocking my 5 slot skill.

Honestly, how did these changes ever make it onto live servers? I can tolerate the 10 lvl story gaps but minimizing the gameplay to a point that I feel hindered is ridiculous. I’m honestly considering never making a character past my 2 over lvl 20 so I since I won’t feel like I’m play the trial version of a game. I kind of don’t even want to play GW2 at this point if the changes stay…sucks too because I love this game.

Yeah this game used to be eh decent at most, never had enough skills to be used though.
But, least the chicks are hot.

Yeah, pressing 1 all the introduction quest isnt exactly encouranging…
They could have mantained 3 unlocked skills, so at least theres more than mindless clicking….

They’re actually remaking Zhaitan so you have to defeat him by going up his butt like Lemiwinks.

I heard they were reworking the Zhaitan fight so half of your team had to distract it with dancing so the midget on your party can repair a big gun so a norn npc could shoot Zhaitan with it.

Zhaitan fight was too confusing for new players. Cannons removed. He is now killed by jumping off the ship and climbing up his body in mid flight so you can stab his heart.

I like this game. If they had to make these changes because people couldn’t understand them then… O.O does that make me a genius.

I thought they were making it so they were removing the cannons and allowing ranged weapons to reach and to complete the new player experience that is now being developed you just need to press one, allow it to auto cycle, so you can go and check your emails, forum posts and cook yourself some noodles.

O.O does this mean they’ll pull Teq in line. I mean, there’s no really events available to new players like it, and Shatterer is a “look, I swung a sword. Hey, a swung a sword again” kind of fight.
