Of course it is; there’s a monthly event happening in SSC with +200% MF! Things will be back to normal after.

On FC, there were a bunch of people doing Orr in April. Then, people tried the temple events right after the April 30 patch. The result was that Orr was basically empty a week before the SSC event launched.

Each time anet fixes orr to make it more attractive, they nerf it again to make it less attractive than before.

Example:

They minimize the amount of cc orian mobs do and increase the chance of getting heavy loot bags and t6 mats.

Orr was packed!

Then, they introduce the new event scaling. Which summons champs that one shot you.

Now Orr is empty again.

Its a vicious cycle. I don’t think anet knows what they want orr to be.

It would be fine if they actually did what they said they were going to do. That is to have scaling that is more than just having numbers go up. Right now that is all there is. Making things go from normal to veteran to champion just gives them more health, hit harder and gain defiant. They were supposed to gain new but not necessarily more powerful abilities. It looks like they are either unwilling or unable to implement their own design. When they mentioned the new scaling I thought they finally got around to that but unfortunately that was not the case.

I do not think they know how to fix the broken scaling and the bad loot drop rate they introduced was supposed to be doing good by reducing botting but all it did was move bots onto something else while everyone else who liked to farm Orr suffered. Switch loot drops system to post launch.

Yeah, it’s really just a matter of the scaling not really being right. It’s far more beneficial to cycle low level events where you can 2-3 shot mobs for much faster rewards than try to coordinate or do anything in Orr.

They have the right idea with wanting to avoid quick and total obsoleting of content, it’s just the execution still needs some tweaking. You should not gain more benefit from running level 20 content at level 80 than you do running level 80 content.

By necessity for providing a little focus to the end game, which is really necessary for longevity, the game should provide you with slightly greater incentive to do level-appropriate content, with low level content remaining a slightly sub-optimal option for those who enjoy it.

At this stage yes due to the April patch and the ridiculous new event scaling.

This is how i see it too, it was bad annoying and tiring to play orr, then after the clean up it was great loot bags gave Tier 6 and you could actually play/enjoy the maps..

Then they added unneeded “entertaining” additions to mobs which became a nightmare to tackle most things, the mobs were given back their CC every 2 sec and they slowly re-added the plethora of mobs back, while systematically nerfing loot bags and adding insane one hit kills to anywhere loot was fun to collect…

Can you blame players for thinking screw this i’m not gonna go there…
