Okay, Tassi is officially off my list of “smart” people.

I’m in a dangerous, time-sensitive situation. She wastes time with prattle instead of doing her job. If her job were executed flawlessly, then I could forgive the wind-up time.

But no, for some reason, she wants to goo me with the candy corn. …Not Prince Thorn.
As melee, if I’m not right on top of him when she finally gets around to spewing the goo, I’m stuck (pun intended?) waiting for her, while Thorn does all his stuff at range. I could LOS him so he has to move, but by the time he catches on, the goo spot’s gone.

Does this fight work differently at range, or am I kidding myself in believing that AI are ever supposed to be, y’know, helpful? :\

Many alts; handle it!

The AI is never meant to be helpful. The entire game’s purpose is to try to kill you, be it through direct aggression, sending you towards enemies, or provoking enemies and leading them back to you like some homicidal dog playing fetch with live grenades.

Yes, that includes your pets too, which is why their AI seems so “bad”, they’re just trying to get you killed. It’s like virtual Australia, everything is out to kill you.

From my experience, it seems that Tassi’s AI is programmed with the assumption you’re in a group and not stacking (yeah, I know). Even when trying it solo, her tendency seems to be one glaze shot in melee followed by a glaze shot at range, regardless if there is a player at either of those ranges or not.

One must be very careful with Artificial Intelligence, because if it gets too artificially intelligent, it may do more than prattle and be unhelpful.

Dude, Tassi apparently has a head injury, because I had this exact conversation with her last year, and she reacts to Edrick like, “WUT, I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF YOU!” Then again, she seems to live in haunted ruins, so who knows what horrors she’s seen over the last year.

Is there an Asura in this game who isn’t in love with the sound of its own voice?

How many Asura in this game produce non-flawed work?

Send them all back to Rata Sum. Nuke the place. It’s the only way to be sure…

You will be disintegrated for not bowing down to your Asura Overlords. And you won’t even see it coming.

The part that I found the most funny about that instance – both last year and this – is that supposedly the Mad King erased Thorn from history and yet Tassi says something like “what was it that Thorn is sensitive to?” Big continuity break there.

But yea, I don’t understand why the devs have the same exact holiday instance again this year. They were so adamant against the SAB because it doesn’t fit with the LS…
Literally repeating history doesn’t make any more sense.

Thorn is a family name. Mad King Thorn is Edrick Thorn’s father.
