Is discarding of WvW XP Gain intentional?

Q:

I have noticed that WvW exps are not added toward current mastery track. I was wondering whether it is intentional or is it a bug? If it is the former case, then I would like to know why ANet intentionally destroyed WvW exp gain for max level players.

Is discarding of WvW XP Gain intentional?

It’s intentional, masteries are PvE only. See e. g. the non-availability of WvW autoloot.

I see. I just returned a few days ago so I am not sure but did ANet promised any kind of WvW mastery tracks in near future?

WvW already have it years back…. siege mastery etc….

It’s not too bad actually. The new drops when you rank up are a pretty good way to unlock skill/hero points for power leveled 80 alts.
