First off I’ll explain, having my main a elementalist I can conjour up many different weapons. I recently bought the boxing gloves and though, “Wow, it has its own moves sets, wouldn’t it be nice if I could fight WvW with the boxing gloves”, so during a dungeon I summoned a Frost Bow and jokingly showing my friends my boxing moves realized I can equip these conjured items and attack in my town clothing. (me fighting in my town clothing is visable to everyone as well)

Is this an exploit and should I refrain from doing so?
I would expect picking up any item would cause me to lose my town clothing and switch to armour, however even if attacked I still keep my town clothing, defeated, downed, you name it I still wear the town clothing.

This is a known thing. Environmental weapons and the like allow this to happen. Engineer kits do the same thing.

Consider it a loophole to the insanely stupid decision to not allow people to fight in town clothes if they want to. They’re so busy trying to “monetize” everything, but they the ignore the fact that it would vastly increase sales of town clothes if they were displayable in PvE combat.

I do admit Shirtless, Wizard with boxing gloves fighting with a flame sword is quite a funny sight.
