nope IMO. If you try to farm in one spot for longer you will be hit by DR. It is way better to jump around the map (world even).

Yes, there is a couple of areas still with high density risen, but these areas are in locations where you would not normally go when traveling between events and such.

nope IMO. If you try to farm in one spot for longer you will be hit by DR. It is way better to jump around the map (world even).
I have been looking all over the world….but still cannot find a good hunting spot. So if i stay in one spot too long i get less treasure, but if i don’t stay long enough i also get less treasure?
Straight answer is no on both counts. The dr is a pattern repeated by ncsoft, which aanet is a a subsidiary, in just about every game they have released to date. I had high hopes for this game from day 1 but unfortunately not even the nexxon acquisition can explain how justifiably bad and grindy this game has become.

Id have to disagree with this. It really doesn’t take very long to acquire a full set of gear with the best possible stats in the game. The thing is people compell themselves to go farm stuff for hours on end so they can acquire an equal level kit that is just a bit shinier than their current kit. There is absolutely no need for it. Its there for those OCD folks who will chase any carrot on a stick and complain if the carrot is reachable and complain if the carrot isn’t reachable when they already have a perfectly good carrot.
I would have agreed with this a few months ago before the fractal implement. Now if you want top tier gear you not only have to grind fotm you also have to complete monthly and dailies to get the highest order gear. If ascended gear was on par with exotic stat wise with only the added agony resistance I wouldnt be looking for a new mmo to play.

A difference that makes no difference is no difference. Content isn’t gated by these drops. People are so conditioned by other MMOs they think BIS gear is the only way to play a game, and if they don’t have it, they’re completely disadvantaged. And in most games, they’d be right, but not here.
I can do everything in the game without a single piece of ascended gear. The ONLY exception would be the higher level fractals, and that’s where you’d get the gear you need anyway.
I WvW, run dungeons, play anywhere in the world quite easily in exotics.
