A mission is bugged (for everyone) and the only way to complete it is through exploits?

Only time Anet generally takes action against players for abusing an exploit is if it leads to an obvious unintentional gain in money/items. Like buying an item for 1 gold that sells to npc for 2 gold and repeating it. Stuff like a trick to make a dungeon/mission easier is usually ignored till they fix it. Can’t really help fully without more details though.

This probably isn’t an exploit, but it is hard to tell with ANet. The mission “Into the Labyrinth” is 100% bugged for everyone at the moment. At the end of the cutscene, you get placed in terrain and can’t speak to the NPCs to complete the mission. The only way to complete it is by killing yourself. Now, I’ve already used that item you get in the Living Story, but there is another way. If you use the Sous-Chef’s self-damage food + a self-poison skill, you can kill yourself and then be able to talk to NPCs to complete the mission.

At least, I suspect you can get back into the room. The Sous-Chef is in LA today and I can’t buy his food because he doesn’t spawn in NEW LA.

I wouldn’t call that an exploit. You’re not glitching the game out to progress. You’ve encountered a glitch (stuck in the terrain) and are wanting to see if killing yourself and restarting at a checkpoint will get you into the room and able to interact with the necessary NPC.

I would however report the bug before you attempt your fix so that ANet will definitely get a report on it.

As long as you don’t compleate the mission without doing it and doesn’t earn loot, gold, achievment and other stuff by doing it I think it is not atleast an banable exploit. It’s a workaround a bugged event. I whould have waited for a bug fix though.
