Is it sad that...
haha. I would be sure to have out a really weird pet when passing ranger trains if I were you.
I feel the same way, then again it’s our lot in life as Ranger, Archer, Hunter, players. No matter what MMO we play, our class of choice is always the top class that bots use.
As LameFox pointed out, my bear is on what appears to be a permanent vacation from my ranger’s pet rotation purely because that’s now the stereotype for a bot.

as long as your name isn’t ek.awdj i won’t report you :P
Some of them have pretty normal-ish names, which I assume are hacked accounts. Others have eerily similar normalish names, which I assume is a self-defeating attempt at not looking like bots. If I’m not sure I’ll just stand there and ask them. I figure most normal rangers would say something, even if it’s just the equivalent of ‘I don’t speak your language, random person.’
ANet does NOT ban people because someone reported botting. They investigate people for it. At no point will you even know the investigation happened. They will simply look at your activity, see that you are inf act a persona and not a bot due to your actions, and move on. Do not worry, you will not be blasted falsely just bc someone stereotypes you.

Hello Voqar,
we have a sticky thread about botting in this section, also please read the statement by Colin Johanson. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Lets-talk-about-that-GW2-Article-on-Gamespy/page/2#post558147
It should answer some of your questions regarding how bots are handled by the support team.
This thread will be closed, please participate in the linked thread instead.
