Just out of curiosity, after reading this and this, both the images and the comments, seems like even if the person admits their intent to abuse the LFG tool reports don’t do anything.

I’m not really clear what you think ANet was ever going to do about this. It’s distasteful, but it’s not against any rules. Also, this has nothing to do with LFG nor the LFG tool.

How is it not against any rules to admit you’re kicking someone near the end of a run just to add a friend?

What rule, exactly, do you think it’s against?

They may be little jerks for kicking someone for that. The person who taunted the person after they got kicked is definitely a jerk, too. However, they’re not committing any LFG abuse. If you’re going to report them, report them for scamming, and then report the person who whispered you for verbal abuse. You could even make a support ticket, and send Anet the uncensored screenshots. However, reporting them for LFG abuse won’t do anything because they haven’t done anything that is LFG abuse.

To answer the title question, yes, the in-game report function does work. But people have to use it properly, and Anet has to find actual wrong-doing (and researching these things can take time).

Maybe LFG abuse?

They purposefully advertised a LFG with the intent of kicking the victim out at the end in order to benefit their guild mate?

The second thread seems to be confirmation of the first at also breaks the rules against player harrasment wouldn’kitten Unsolicited whisper just to taunt the op?

A single report really isn’t going to do anything. Also keep in mind that they may take weeks to process and even if something happened, it would only be a 72h suspension, though repeated offenses will add up.

Kicking someone at the end of a dungeon is considered griefing and is reportable.

A perma should be nice ( after a bunch of reports and warnings ).

I mean it don’t happen to kick someone at the end of a dungeon to invite some1 else or sell the entire run.
