Anyone know/remember what devs have said?

It’s been 5 weeks now since the first spec and we’ve only heard of 3 – ANet you know how to drag stuff out.

I don’t think there will be a reveal as there would have been a nice picture of a class in a new look around monday or teuseday

But one can always hope for a reveal anyway later today.

Yeah they are really dragging this out I am waiting patiently for the elementalist and warrior specializations. I just hope its sooner rather than later because I’m really bored now :P

I think it’s the same story in most cases (not for those specific specs, but for more info on HoT and upcoming changes).

As for me the only reason I still play is because there are a few skins I want to grind out. Having one of each prof (and then some) to 80, almost 4 world completions, dungeon master, pvped and wvwed to my heart’s content I have nothing left to do but either grind skins or wait for new info on HoT.

Not trying to inflate my ekitten here, just saying that I have done pretty much all that I have available on-hand and I’ve nothing left but skins. I (and I know many others) would appreciate much more info on what is to come, so we can actually get hyped. I can’t get hyped on lack of communication and information.

I expect the beta event was supposed to be the bells and whistles for this week.

Yeah, we’ll probably get nothing this week.
If we get any article or a video it will be something about the beta that happened.

They are dragging it out because of the betas/wvw info they pushed.

Stop being happy with getting information instead of getting content.

Who cares if we get info on a specialisation that could and will probably be changed before launch anyway.

Those of us trying to give them player feedback on the specialization concepts and implementation care. They are doing the reveals partly to hype us, yes, but they are also paying attention to the constructive commentary we provide.

Even if you don’t want to help shape the final version, some things are definite in the reveals such as what weapons the specs will get, so you can start figuring out the best skin for your character to use for it.

Partly? That is the main reason. Other than beta testing (which was a complete joke the other night) we have no real knowledge of the elite specs. Sure the weapon (for a skin.. just another gold sink)
The commentary we give isn’t very accurate until we actually get to test it, try it.

Me thinking a Guardian with a bow is stupid, isn’t based on anything except cosmetic. I’ve not tried the skills or their synergy with the class itself.
We’ve seen some gameplay~ but that’s not “our gameplay”. We have no idea how it will affect us as individual players what so ever.
And at this point in the development, there isn’t room for much change. They aren’t going to up and change it to a Dagger because of forum comments.

Elite spec reveals are 90% hype. Being able to figure out your new weapon skin is.. still hype..
The only feed back players can give right now is on the names since we have yet to test the skills our ourselves.

Could not agree more with this statement. I still play but most times it is in WvW with my guild. Reveals are all well and good, but could we get some actual content along with it to fill in the void??

I’m not sure whether forum satisfaction really matters one way or the other.

They give us what they are ready and want to give us. I’m completely confident that they have an internal launch target, milestones along the way, and that Marketing has laid out an information schedule with both in mind.

This isn’t like pestering your mom to buy you the cheap plastic toy in the checkout line. Throw all the fit we want about slow information or lack of new things to do, there’s no realistic expectation it will change anything.
