It’s a retextured Fellblade. This makes me somewhat mad if they’re going to start retexturing our hard-earned HoM rewards for the masses to have.

Well, for one, the Fellblade is not a sword, but a greatsword. Two, the effects on both bladed weapons look to be very different, so I still think that the Fellblade is still going to have some intrigue to it.

I bet every man has been dreaming of purple swords since dawn of men. Painting it red is so last century.

Why wouldn’t they? I mean, they added the banker golem to the gem store now, which was an exclusive item reward from purchasing the special edition (or upgrading digitally) of the game. Sure, it wasn’t heard earned, but I’m sure most people bought into it for its exclusivity, not because they just felt like giving ANet some more money.

I want it! I dont even mind that it is a retextured Fellblade from HoM (which makes sense really, the existing GW1 weapons would have evolved too). Wonder if there is a GS skin. Mesmer…must….have!

They should have just brought the fellblade over to GW2 exactly how it was in GW1. Instead they turned it into a greatsword and now that we are getting the appropriate size for it, its covered in pink stuff.

I suppose they needed a greatsword skin and well… there are no greatswords in GW1.

Reskinning here we come. First the flower backpack now the fellblade….It’s not even a year and the reskinning is starting…srsly?…Get better designers then or something, can’t believe they can’t come up with something original.

Heh. I figured it was only a matter of time before the HoM rewards started getting pushed out to the general population. There isn’t a game company out there that can sit pull off making an item an “exclusive” reward. They start looking at it going “What a waste that only some people can use this…” and then immediately toss it out for everyone.

Enjoy the HoM exclusive items while you can, GW1 players =D

It’s disappointing to be honest. While it looks cool it makes the HoM Fellblade redundant.

Because I have noticed nobody cares until someone makes a thread on the forums. Like you said they reskinned the flame sword and made it blue. Also I barely see anybody using HoM ( I do) but i barely see anybody do.

I think arenanet realize that the a good chunk of the gw1 players are gone so why bother.

Err no. The Jormag sword is not a reskin of the Fiery Dragon Sword. There were actually two similar items in GW1. The Fiery Dragon sword and the Icy Dragon Sword.

The Jormag sword would be the equivalent of the Icy Dragon Sword.

The Jormag sword would be the equivalent of the Icy Dragon Sword.

I’m still hoping for the Vampiric Dragon Sword to make its GW2 appearance; that one was my favorite.

Which, by the way, is a Greatsword, and thus is still significantly different and unique.

Seriously I think that at most I’ve seen maybe three Fused weapons on my server, and a grand total of ZERO of every other RNG weapon skin. Never seen a Southsun skin, never seen a Jade Dragon skin, and certainly never seen an Aetherized Skin.

Sclerite are quite rare, but I see Dragon’s Jade all the time, and I’m on Henge of Denravi. Anyone with 10-20 gold could buy enough coffers from the TP to have a good shot at one.

I have an Aetherized Pistol for my latest thief build, but other than that I’ve never gotten an RNG item that I haven’t bought from the TP.

I have all skins from the HoM, and honestly I couldn’t care less if ArenaNet made them available to everyone in the game. The value in those skins is in their appearance, not in their so-called exclusivity. I feel pity for people who use skins they don’t even like just because they believe those skins are “exclusive” and so would be a sign of “prestige”.

I hope the new weapon set won’t be locked behind RNG boxes, but let’s be honest – we all know that’s exactly what’s going to happen.

Well this was a HoM weapon. What we wanted was a GW1 weapon OUTSIDE the HoM skins.

Already did. They took away our Toxx mini and gave us an Inquest golem instead.
