Is this still Guild wars ?
It is still pretty much the same MMO it was at launch, but the recent LS updates have been a mixture if the brilliant (Molten Facility), the good (Thermanova), the bad (ToN), and the downright awful (Halloween).
The inflation you’re seeing is basically unavoidable. In any MMO with some sort of a free economy (I can’t name one without), the farmers will farm and the prices will inflate because they do. There’s nothing you or Anet can do to stop that apart from mass griefing of champ trains orAnet forcing a very low daily gold limit, both of tide being terrible ideas.
The gem store was never designed to be operated by in game gold. Anet need people to spend money. The game is B2P in the sense that you can play everything in the game after buying it once, but don’t expect to be able to get absolutely every item in the game.
