Coming back to game after taking a short break, been exploring around world and it’s a ghost town!

Are people starting to migrate to the same servers or are they all empty? I feel like I’m playing a single player game.

I’m on Gates of Madness.

It’s your server. What server are you on? I am on Tarnished Coast and I can’t go anywhere without running into ppl.

The other thing is free server transfres just ended and there were quite a few mass migrations.

Can’t tell you if it’s just your server without knowing what server you’re on. Having said that, my server is far from dead.

So I guess my next question would be what are the most populated/active servers?

Sucks I missed the free transfer, last time I logged on (about a month ago) there was plenty of activity on my server… oh well.

Can you still make a new character on another server?

No, you were never able to do this as far as I know. Once you pick a home server all of your chars will be created on that server.

Seafarer’s Rest has people constantly playing in Wayfarer Foothills, Cursed Shore, Malchor’s Leap, Kessek Hills, Queensdale + a costant overflow in LA and considering our population is one of lowest…yeah, it might be your server.

Its a lot of servers man not just yours.

What these people said. I was on Piken Square and I couldn’t believe that I never saw anyone. I moved to TC and it’s a different game.

With guesting I’ve played around a little. A while back Magumma (my home) was doing ok, but for the past several weeks it’s been surging and growing, don’t need any more. 30+ in Orr runs. And 1/2 dozen-dozen around in seemingly every zone cranny, when an Event kicks in. Both are good numbers, not too few, not too many.

Guesting I found Sea of Sorrows equal with the little time I’ve had. And Tarnished Coast for O.W. PvE to be a step down. But both of those two server I guested on, were just a couple samples each, running PST evenings. I’ve known both of those two to be at least assumed the most populated. But didn’t know if it is due to WvW/dungeons/O.W..

If Magumma keeps it up, no need to look elsewhere. But do applaud the guesting option… in case it doesn’t.

Its not only you. I play on Desolation and there are not much player now compared how it was back when I started leveling in Queensdale 1 month after launch.

I am on GoM and it is far from dead. OP seems to be overstating things a little bit IMHO.

I was on Sorrows Furnace and was thinking the game was in trouble….I’d go zone after zone without seeing a soul. Then we descided to transfer to Yaks Bend and realized…holy crap my server was just crap lol

I’ve found the Wayfarer Foothills and Diessa to be very active thanks to the Living Story events. The OP might want to check out those zones?

It’s very cool seeing people gathering there and it was a great idea of ArenaNet to design the Living Story to push players toward the same zones in that way.

I think it’s just the server. I play on stormbuff isle and it seems pretty dead. Several months back, we were a force to reckon with in WvW. After coming back from like a 4 month break, there is hardly anyone in WvW. The other worlds always at least triple our score which is quite sad.

I’d say it might be the time you’re playing, I’m also on Gate of Madness and there are always people around. I even get to overflow quite a lot to be honest.
Maybe you should try finding a server that better matches your time zone or something alike.
