I personaly like the new overhaul of the LFG system, but it’s very bad when Squad leaders are taxing ppl to event maps. My problem is when the map is full the squad leaders dont delete their taxi requests.. there are too many request in living word tab and its so frustrating and confusing to find a group which is not on full map. And im keeping and keeping to find some for few mins till i found some empty one and join to already finished event.

It really has to be done something with this issue.

I wonder why they made a category for RP but not for sellers. /:

Because selling items on LFG (as apposed to selling dungeons, raids, SAB levels etc) is against the rules, so I think they just don’t want to encourage it!

I was having this problem, too. Every advertised squad I tried to join were all in full maps and they didn’t seem to know or care that they kept advertising full maps no one can join. I had to finally give up.

But selling achievements and raids is officialy allowed, and thats what im doing.

Yeah I understand, but since there’s already an achievements and raids section, don’t really need a ‘selling’ section too. Anyone wanting to buy a raid, or a dungeon run etc can look under those sections. Anyone not looking to buy, aren’t going to look anyway.

I suspect if there’s a specific ‘Sell’ section on it’s own on LFG, it’ll get swamped by ‘WTS Twilight 3,000 Gold PM Me’ by people who don’t know any better, clogging up the list for people such as yourself wanting to sell your Raid or Achievement.

It really has to be done something with this issue.

Maps are never permanently full. People enter, the map becomes full, and then people get called on the phone, they DC, or they decide for whatever reason to do something else. That leaves room in the map for more people. So even if it were easy for ANet to auto-cancel LFGs to full maps, another group of people would come back and say stop auto-cancelling, because it interferes with keeping the map full.

What might be more useful is if open-world LFG requests used something similar to the headcount data for instanced content. Instead of showing 4/5 (fracts/dungeons) or 8/10 (raids), open world could show “standard” (default), “high” (when close to soft-cap), and “very high” (close to hard cap) — that would give the player looking the choice and it would allow advertisers to decide if they want to cancel.

But selling achievements and raids is officialy allowed, and thats what im doing but theres no category for it (I was waiting 4 hours to get one buyer then I surrendered. Normaly it took me 20mins to get full party of buyers.

But I see people selling things like crafting materials on the LFG. It’s not just selling instances.

This for me is particularly annoying when trying to kill tequatl.
There is no longer any point to joining a squad as if you dc there’s no way you can rejoin the map due to the huge number of players also trying to join, thanks to the permanent squad which the commander puts in lfg.
In the past if you dc’d at least you could usually rejoin the map, either immediately or after 1min or so of spamming ‘join’ – now it’s just impossible…

Personally, I liked the old version of LFG. This new layout only complicate things.
