Let me just say, it pays to pay attention to gw2lfg posts, and I can’t be anymore clear.
We ( my guild ) posted on lfg, that those who join WILL be kicked at the end of the instance.

Upon arriving inside, we asked if they read the lfg post. They said “yes” it was a guardian and thief.

Near the end, they were kicked, and they kept whispering us why they were kicked out.

And no this isn’t trolling, the entire point of this “experiment” was to test whether not people actually read or not.

Now you’re probably wondering " English might of been a first language" well, they were communicating just fine with good grammar. We don’t let anyone in that stays silent or has broken English.

You don’t need a gw2lfg experiment to figure that out, just work in IT for a couple years:(

You posted misinformation for the sole purpose of baiting players and getting reactions, that’s what trolling is.

Well to be the devil’s advocate, if I read your post, been kick at the end, or near the end, is not the same thing.

I don’t mind been kicked after the final boss and the loot is in my bag when you clearly say so, but if you guys would kick me before the end (so no loot/completion etc) for whatever reason you could think of, your lfg post is misleading and will always end in confusion.

“We don’t let anyone in that stays silent or has broken English.” You would seriously kick someone with ESL? This makes me feel very intimidated as a non native English speaker. I really enjoy the game but I hope the larger community don’t feel the same as you do.

I posted here to figure out why people don’t bother to read posts, they just join any that are open.

You were trolling. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. You started with a supposition, went by that supposition, and then gleefully posted about the negative consequences to those dastardly rapscallions who expected to finish the run and weren’t expecting to encounter the gimmick of some immature, here-is-my-non-reading-bone-to-pick vengance seeker from a third party site that promotes… wait for it…. cooperation.

Yeah. Trolling. How’s Tera working out for you? Taking two weeks to pack up?

I don’t expect a reaction, it wasn’t my intention believe it or not. I posted here in the forum because I want to know WHY people often don’t bother to read posts that are made via lfg, then complain about if something happens. I ran CoE and I said I have never ran the path, they got mad at me and asked if I was new, they invited me when I made that post, and they get upset.

We posted that near the end of the instance, they’ll be kicked. They joined anyway and questioned why they were kicked.

As much as it may seem like it, this post wasn’t to gather reactions, it is to answer the question I have.

I don’t claim to speak for the community as a whole, but your English looks fine to me and even if it didn’t, I would not kick on that basis. The OP does not represent the best of the community, and hopefully not even the average.

Near the end, they were kicked … this “experiment” was to test whether not people actually read or not.

Your “experiment” proved they didn’t read when they joined, there was no need to actually do the dungeon and kick them. That part was griefing.

Note the bolded parts. Kicked at the end? That’s fine. Boss and rewards come before the end.

Near the end, before the boss and rewards? That’s different. Very, very different. It’s the difference between getting your paycheck when they’re done filling it out, and getting it when they’re NEARLY done filling it out, say while it’s still unsigned/unauthorized.

And no this isn’t trolling, the entire point of this “experiment” was to test whether not people actually read or not.

I’m sorry, but the only thing you’ve proved is that you need to improve your communication skills. If you want to try this again, spell out that you will kick them BEFORE the end.

(That having been said, I really hope you don’t do this again. Experiment or not, warned or not, it’s still a bad thing to do to people.)
