It's not possible, it's impossible
Ascended skin are the new draconic skin, there will be more, harder(?) to obtain ones, and legendaries one. So I think, it’s normal that they look plain, because they are the draconic equivalent for ascended.
I say draconic because I use to take heavy armor, I don’t know the name of the others in english.
Taste is subjective though I will admit that the Prince’s outfit should have been an armor skin like the last three we got.
“there will be more . . .” possible, haven’t heard of that yet. However I don’t think I’ll be into this game by then (2014 releases) if this is their idea of art style. It was ok before, some hit and miss. This time, sadly, it was a big miss.
But those Halloween skins, those are really nice. I’m wondering what the heck happened. I hate when games do the “RP Skin ONLY” garbage in games. It’s pure nonsense to me.

The crafted heavy(draconic) and light(exalted) are actually decent. The medium(emblazoned) on the other hand … maybe it can look good with the right dyes but that is proving to be quite a challenge. This is from the perspective of a human character. The emblazoned actually looks nice on an asura.

As an RPer, these clothes are no use to me. My character would only consider wearing them for a fancy dress party, which might be a rare event. So I won’t be buying them.
However, if they were broken down into seperate items, I might buy the shoes that came with the witch’s outfit.
I want town clothes that the NPCs wear – normal, everday clothing.
What does this thread title even mean? What’s impossible?

Because we can’t be angry about both?
<tinfoil>Ascended skins look awful to get people to buy transmutation crystals to put better skins on their stats.</tinfoil>
To be completely honest, that was my first thought upon seeing screens. And I’m usually skeptical of this kind of reasoning.

These “RP Skins Only” are actually useless for any RPer that ventures out of town …
Taste is subjective indeed. I couldn’t care less about the Halloween outfits, and I quite like the ascended armours. It would be nice, of course, if we got more style options for them.
Skins on the TP and Events are the high end content of this game.
