Let’s say one spends his/her hard-earned money to buy gems, or to buy items in the gem store. Not just the aforementioned cases, but let’s say one has spent countless hours working and dedicating his/her efforts to acquire that one rare piece of equipment or a particular item that (most certainly) holds a lot of value to the user.

Now, I’m not familiar with the likelihood of it happening, or any reported cases, but what if, for some reason, one logs in to find an item (or several) missing? What can we do in order to get our stuff back?

When buying gems or things from the gem store, are we given some sort of receipt? You know, something that, in the event of something bad happening, can serve as proof that we actually did acquire the item in question, so it can be given back to us. IDK. What if the game effs up for some reason? Would screenshots of the purchase of an item work as well?

In short, what measures have been put in place and such?

When you buy gems, you receive an email with details of your purchase. If you pay with paypal, you’ll also have your paypal statement as proof. Lastly, as Randulf said, CS will be able to access transaction history if you contact them.

The only “receipt” you receive for buying items on the gem store is the list on the right hand side of the gem store tab. It shows a list of your most recent purchases. But, again, CS would be able to see what you bought. You may have to provide screenshots or something to show proof of an item being missing, and you’d have to prove your ownership of the account as such to CS.
