Guild Wars 2

So now that I am moving on to Ascended armor crafting, I am curious about something. Do item drops scale to the level of the character? Such as my 80 being in a level 40 zone, will I only get 76-80 drops or will I get drops that are relevant to the zone’s level? I ask this because I need to farm for mats, particularly scraps of x. I remember at some point reading/hearing that item scaling had been implemented. Anyone know?

You get both, if you mean Gear and such. Loot bags off mobs will be zone-level. Champ bags would be both. Chests would be character-level.

Both, but mostly equipment scaled to your level. I just open all my champ bags on a lvl 55 char for linen/rugged leather. I still get lvl 80 exotics doing this, though I miss out on the rares which are scaled down (so what I mean is no ectos from the rares).
