hey,

I havent really played till recently. And only now i am getting in to the game. Now my question is if i need to collect or save any important items. I am currently lv 36 and all i do is just empty my inventory, teleport the crafting materials to my bank. But i cannon craft anything so just leave it there and just sell the rest.

Any tips for me i should do to make it easier for me.

Nope, nothing worthwhile keeping at the lower levels

Just some minor tips, that are pretty much obvious.

Just keep doing what you’re doing. Sell junk, deposit collectables, sell or salvage gear and such. A small tip that I didn’t know about till about a month ago, all that Karma gear you pick up along the way? Save it and Mystic Forge it. Since you can’t sell it or salvage it, all you can do is destroy it. Instead, toss it in the Mystic Forge. Might get something good, but either way you’ll get something you can sell or salvage at least.

Also, don’t buy stuff. I know it is hard to fight the urge to go shopping at the TP, but don’t. You’ll waste more money than you’ll obtain and find yourself short. If you need a new gear upgrade, use your karma from all the events you are doing at the heart NPCs. It saves you money and keeps you decently geared as you level.

Make sure to clear a map before moving on for the bonus rewards and xp, try to harvest everything you come across to make crafting easier on ya (don’t have to buy everything from the TP that way), if you enjoy crafting, work on that as it yields at least 10-12 levels from maxing out any craft.

Another tip is to sell your blue/green gear you don’t want on the TP. But only if it is selling for more than vendor price (including TP tax fee). That’ll help with getting money along the way. Also don’t waypoint as much. It’ll save you cash in the long run if you just run from place to place. Unless your destination is on the other side of the map, just waypoint. But if it is short distances, take a minute to just run there instead.

There is a rather extensive list in the Players Helping Players section of things you didn’t know about that is rather helpful. Hope that helps.

If you plan on crafting at some point, keep the mats. Otherwise, you don’t need those either. Those are the only things I can think of that low level characters collect that may be worth keeping.
Whatever I get, I compare merchant prices to Black Lion prices, in case I can make a bit more money – it rarely happened in lower levels, but it’s not completely impossible.

Generally, checking the trading post can give you a pretty good idea of an item’s actual worth.

Your starting items for certain classes should be saved as they are unique.
The Necro mask and the guardian shoulders are examples of these. I’m sure someone can point out all the ones there are, but those should be kept if you many to transmute them later on.
