Please tell me why groups, since lvl 10+, do not throw crystals at the jade maw?

From what I can see, throwing the crystal takes down the boss much faster. I find that a lot of people are hording the crystals, carrying them most times, leaving the few of us to either bite the bullet when we are targeted or dodge, which isnt that hard either.

Its infuriating to see these people not throw the crystal when doing so kills the kitten boss faster.

Please explain this to me, so I no longer get kitten

Groups still do throw crystals provided they are charged of course.What you did observed most probably is not hoarding of crystals-they simply wanted to put them at more save spot(read at spot away from tentacles).Or did not throw the crystal although is charged because they have reviving a dead player.Yet to see players simply keeping crystals and doing nothing with them in fractals runs i`ve done.

Nah, these guys were charging the crystal and dropping it. Or not even trying to get to teh crystal.

This isnt the first group either. The first time I saw this, I was asking them why they werent throwing..they replied “The boss is dying isnt it? We are killing tenticles” which ..I guess also slowwwly takes the boss down?

No, the only way to take it down is by throwing crystals at it. If it was dying then they were throwing crystals at it but you weren’t noticing it perhaps?
I mean, I’ve never ever seen it’s HP go down by just killing tentacles.

Maybe you are just inattentive.

Sometimes, conserving one crystal for the group if there are no other crystals around can be beneficial to the goal (killing it at all). Especially with so many people still not able to dodge properly.
Of course there are also people who never seem to have grasped the strategy behind that encounter.

So it really depends on the situation. Both throwing it instantly and not throwing it can hurt you.
