I wondered if ArenaNet was trolling us when they brought the server down 1 hour after the reset.
Knowing that everyone would be hooking into the Improved Chest Events.

But i figured out a secret plot behind it all..
They are Jormag sympathizers!

I know we get to fight Zhaitan in Arah story. But where exactly do you fight Jormag? How come I haven’t heard of this? I fought the Claw of Jormag but that was some event. Is it a new dungeon?

It is in Frostgorge sound at the earthshake waypoint. Not a dungeon an event that happens every couple of hours.

There are 3 like this Shatter, Teq(something) the sunless, and Claw of Jormag.

No sadly, when we were kicked, the “claw of jormag” had no health to display on the bar.

Just think, if more of you were in the middle helping golems get through instead of sitting on the ledge doing 1/6 damage you probably would have got the chest!

Depending on the size of the force amassing on CoJ (I call it jojo), and the players in the peanut gallery off to the right on that hill notwithstanding, there was about 30+secs worth of killing left to be done. It was never gonna happen for you.

Get off the hill to the right. Lesson learned.

Best thing about the JORMAG event is how calling CoJ JORMAG gets some peoples panties all in a gigantic knot.

Use the terrain to your advantage is what they said! So I stood back on the hill and watched over everything, like any good general does. Stop dying! Get back up! Watch out for the fear! Avoid those ice thingies! Why did the asura not send more golems?
Without my valuable input the whole operation would have been a failure. Do I demand credit for that? Were they even listening to me? Do I hear any thanks? No, but I will humbly be there, to aid and to guide, again and again.
Maybe one day, someone will turn around, look back up the hill and notice me, holding everything together.

May the sun not turn black on you next time Awkward and may you rightfully claim your share of the reward left behind by the vanished remains of the gargantuan.

Maybe you would have actually killed him if you helped the golems get through and stun him instead of standing on a cliff waiting for others to do it? :O :O :O

I thought that was Jormag for the first like 3 months until someone corrected me. An example of my reasoning:
The Frozen Maw – there is no actual maw. in the end, you “Kill the Svanir shaman chief to break his control over the ice elemental”, and it wasn’t frozen :P there are plenty of spots where the name of the event describes what you will do and the boss, not just the name of the boss.
for “Claw of Jormag”, ‘claw’ could refer to his wrath or the battle you will fight with him.
when someone told me ‘claw’ translated to ‘right hand man’, I thought it was cute and made more sense.

No there totally is a maw, look above the shaman chief and you’ll see a crazy ice mouth thing opening…if you have time and aren’t lagged out, anyhow.

well, they DO say to watch the ledges, you can’t do that if you dont sit on one…

I’ve been trying to refer to this thing as the Claw as often as I can, so that others would catch up on it too instead of calling it Jormag.

And yes it’s funny how even now after they fixed the lagfest, people still try to camp that one spot and totally ignore the golems being slaughtered.
