Guild Wars 2

Last time gem-store was updated June 30 with monks outfit… after that nothing… today is another Tuesday = no update. Before there was new or returning items every week, now 21 days without one.

I don’t really understand … did they get enough money from pre-purchase and decided to deliver items latter? First take away living story, then no festivals for 6 months… (no pavillion etc.) and now full month of no gemstore too. BOOring.

BLC weapons were every 2 weeks, now this patch of new ones is ugly and will be for 4 weeks… logic…(personal oppinion).

WE WANT STUFF! gl everyone

My guess would be just about all their efforts are focused on HoT right now.
Still a bummer theres no update, even bringing back older stuff we haven’t seen in a while.

I agree, GW2 is very boring atm. Not to mention I have 4000 Gems from the Ultimate and nothing to buy with it… At least give me a harvesting tool sale, blah…. x_x

I’m pretty sure they are waaaayyyyyy behind schedule on HoT and have diverted every possible resource to that.

I would buy the whole We are too busy making HOT except the data mined outfit and wings are already there, they just need to flip a switch.

Maybe they have chosen not to release new gem store items until most of the preorder gems get spent on current items/gold conversion. Don’t want to give away new shinies for “free”.

I got on just for the purpose of getting them. And I waited. And waited . . . and waited s’more. Crossing fingers for next week I guess!

Thinking about this subject last night, I realized that it’s entirely possible that their rationale for lack of gemstore content could be based on their hopes that with nothing else to buy, more players will pre-purchase the expansion.

Pure speculation on my part.

Maybe the gemstores current task is properly fixing the monks outfit or else they all will be fired….

Oh well, as long as they do not go ‘gee, we will remove some skins this week’ and I have to spend most of my gems to grab them before they disappear even though I have no immediate need for them.

They don’t update anything, Hell they don’t even reply to the plethora of exploits and bugs in this game at the moment.

Congratulations Anet on totally ignoring your playerbase!!!

They’re never going to make everyone happy. Not even anet has that expectation.

Its pretty odd that there hasn’t been a gem store update recently, especially since they’ve already added a few items to the game (which were at one point showing up in the wardrobe but have since been removed) that have yet to be released. Not to mention the stuff from those 1-day sales of the past they could bring back. So its not like they have nothing to add, they just aren’t doing gem store updates for some reason.

I think this happened more often back when we had living story delays. Since we don’t even have living story. Or anything atm. The only thing to look forward to is gemstone updates. And data mining.

Personally, I suspect they are preparing for the anniversary sales next month.

Maybe anet just quit playing without telling us.

Number 1 on my hitlist is a Quiver for my ranger. Then comes the White Angel Wings. After that, we’ll see what is left in my budget… or what I am willing to put on Paypal. :p

They especially hate the outfits. Every single outfit gets its own I HATE OUTFITS thread and asks for armor instead in the gemstore. But when they had armor being released in the gemstore back then, every single armor set had its I HATE GEMSTORE ARMOR thread.

Something about the fact that they were adding new weapons and armor to the game every two weeks but hadn’t added a single new reward through ingame means or content for over a year…. I guess people didn’t like having to pay for every single thing ever with no new content ever being added to the game.

Anet eventually agreed, added in the SW armor and diverted resources into making an expansion where you could pay once and earn the new armors/weapons in game.

Its because so little content has actually been released So now the only thing they had to look forward too is the Gemstore(It doesnt help with all the datamined stuff/Anets actually making nice looking stuff)…Now people are content starved because Anet hasn’t really released anything and anything they have hasn’t been permanent. Plus all the hype they are building up the expac despite the fact they havent actually announced a release date. So now people have nothing to look forward too, not even the gem stuff.

Some non-outfit armor would be nice so we can mix and match stuff. At the very least bring back some items such as Belinda’s great sword even if it’s for a limited time

Honestly, with some of the threads I’ve seen lately, I’m not shocked at what people complain about anymore. There was a thread defending the cultural rights of the skritt. How it offended the poster that he had to knock over rocks.

In the meantime, Donald Trump is leading in the Republican polls, so I guess nothing should surprise these day.

But, to bring this back to topic, most of the gem store items were usually linked to events in Living Story. So. . . .
