I’m a huge fan of the jumping puzzles on this game, but some are much more difficult or less rewarding. Do any of you guys do jumping puzzles daily similar to daily boss runs? If so, what are the easier/better ones worth looking into?

So far, I have just been doing the ones around the level 1-15 areas since they are quite easy, but I’ve only gotten a few rares.

There’s three in Lion’s Arch. Unless you’re playing a charr or norn, all three of them are pretty easy once you memorize them. I’ll frequently do all three.

I think the best one is Shaman’s Rookery, though.

Weyandt’s Revenge is not too bad for Charr or Norn. The hardest part is the dark room but bring a weapon with an AOE reticle or adjust gamma and it’s easy. I usually run that one once a day. There is a karma weapon vendor at the exit too if you are looking for a new look for a weapon. I like the swords for some reason.

Obsidian Sanctum is ridiculously easy and gives rewards based on your level (meaning you’ll get level 80 rewards off of it). Funtimes easyloots. :D

Obsidian sanctum is the best jumping puzzle and gives the best loots.

But other than that, the 3 in Lion’s Arch are incredibly easy. I do them every day. Also go through the asura gate to southsun and it puts you right at the quickest jumping puzzle in the game on Pearl Island there. After that, you can just jump down and go back through the portal to LA. That’s 4 puzzles you can do right from LA.

Equipping a torch, a HoM flaming sword or Halloween mad King book backpack for an adequate light source is also an option. Or you can wait and only move through light flashes – they are quite frequent, so that’s not much of a delay.

The LA ones give level 80 rewards as well. And calling Obsidian easy is borderline trolling.

You’re in for a treat, as long as you don’t get ganked it’s a fun one.

Try completing the Obsidian Sanctum during the morning (6-10am). I was able to complete it over a dozen times already in that time frame, as in my experience literally no one that is there at that time wants to fight (surprisingly but true I usually jump together with people from the opposing server).

Don’t even dream of doing OS in peace after noon :/

I’ll be “that guy”: No jumping puzzle is worth doing for the loot.

You get 10 times the loot just killing normal mobs. Do them because/if they’re interesting. Do them for achievement points. Doing them for money is barely above killing ambient creatures for money…

While you can’t make a lot of money doing any jumping puzzle, your best bets are:

Level 75-80 JPs – They will always drop high level items, which can be rares or exotics sometimes (a friend got a Dusk from one…).

Level 19-29 JPs – These have a chance of giving you Silver Doubloons, which sell for over 50s each. They can only be found from lvl 19-29 chests, or some small loot bags.

In terms of ACTUALLY making money… I’d probably do anything else.

The only way to do jumping puzzles and make money is portal the harder ones, skipping stones, OS or the aetherblade one. I usually take my guildies through some of the harder ones and end up portaling people, which leads to tips. Skipping Stones during those big events usually nets some pretty nice tip money, way better than you’d get from chests.

Under New Management in Southsun. One of the easiest in game imho. Plus, I get the occasional rare. Even got an exotic the other day.

The LA ones rarely give you level 80 greens/rares/exotics, especially when compared to OS. I mostly get Blues off the LA ones with the very occasional crest.

Also, just because I’m able to do certain content doesn’t make me a troll. I’m a troll for different reasons. :D

Another helpful hint for Weyandt’s Revenge dark room:
The Sylvari Tier 3 torch acts as a light source even when sheathed.

If you’re terrible at them maybe.

I can do the pear island puzzle in less than 30 seconds for 2-3 armor pieces and an upgrade vendor item. I can then jump down from that to the small bonus chest near the skelk and get another 1-2 items in ten seconds.

It’s not worth it to farm tons of the harder puzzles true, but when I stop in Lion’s Arch its nice to grab these.
