Are we going to have Sky Pirates of Tyria as the June 25th update?

That image is the widget from the Release Page related to June 25th “coming soon”. The widget name is “SPoT_Release”. Every widget has been named related to it’s event by name of said event. So that’s where we get the assumed name related to the S.P.o.T. that’s in it.

But why sky pirates?
Take a good look at the image provided. That’s a female swashbuckler in what looks like black leather clothing that Emperor Ming ordered (save her, Flash Gordon!).

But there are other links to my theory.

That is a SKY SHIP! Notice the Asura based tech engines, the wings, the flaps, and the fact that it’s 100+ft up in the air.

Am I crazy? Or…..or… have I uncovered an awesome update coming in a few weeks?

Dead on about the title of the event. Dead on about the context of the event. Data mining at it’s finest.

P.S. You’d think that when the developers release an image related to a “secret” upcoming event, that they would remove the name related to said event in the image title so as to not give it away.

Oh man, I would be so happy for an update about sky pirates.

They are apparently called the Aetherblades. There will be new armor skins(looks like gem store) that have a steampunk theme. The June 25th update will make the rest of the Dragon Bash stuff available. This is probably the July 9th update when Dragon Bash ends.

So yep, that’s another thing to add speculation of the Sky Pirates of Tyria. (And yes, I know they’re called “Aetherblade” based on previous .dat digs, but they can still be called Sky Pirates in the update label).

This was already confirmed in a leak. They will attack and disrupt Dragon Bash.

Also, expect huge changes to Death Shroud.

I think a different thing attacks and disrupts the Effigy burning during Dragon Bash. I mean, that’s on the 18th (this Tuesday) and the update related to S.P.o.T. is going to be on Tuesday the 25th (1 week later). I’m sure they’ll be related, but is it definitive that they’ll be the direct ones to interrupt the event? Or will it be someone working for them instead (like familiars from Blade)?

I thought everybody already knew? Steampunk pirates update. They call them Aetherblades.

The last time I hyped for am awesome patch I got the dragon bash, that was quite disappointing. At this point I’m not going to speculate anything until they post info on it

They did put a air-dock into lions arch.

It’s on the northern wall of fort mariner.

Check forum, people have posted pictures of those too. Fairly disappointing, at least on female characters.

I did find some of the information related to the items inc. on that patch. All steampunk, it would seem.

In order:
-Shield
-Pistol
-Mace
-Scepter
-Hammer

That pistol is cool.

The Steam creatures are from the Asura personal story where the player character creates them and conquers Tyria or something like that (haven’t played the storyline, but that’s the gist of it), so the steam creatures won’t have any greater lore behind them.
